I. Write equations for the following statements:


(i) The sum of numbers x and 40 is 90.
(ii) The number K divided by 15 gives 6.
(iii) Three-fourth of Y is 15.
(iv) Six times x1 plus 7 gets you 76.
(v) One-fourth of a number x minus 14 gives 4.
(vi) If you take away 8 from 6 times y, you get 40.

II. Solve the equations:

12. Laxmi’s father is 49 years old. He is 4 years older than three times Laxmi’s age. What is
Laxmi's age?
