Here is a rule you need to know about comparative and


superlative adjectives:

If a one-syllable adjective ends with a single consonant with a vowel before it, double
the consonant and add ‘er’ or ‘est’.

Here is another rule which sounds complicated


but is really quite easy.

With most two syllable adjectives (or more) you don’t add er or est, but use more and
most.
