1. Report Marina Traikova:
Mrs. Marina Traikova work in the architecture civil engineering and geodesy university of Sofia. And she
works as a professor in reinforced concrete structures.
In the sector where she works there are many techniques to reduce the environmental impact such as the
use of eco-materials such as bamboo, which has properties like steel. For her, "Work with nature" also
means making old buildings more energy efficient.
To finish the building sector has an important progression walk to reduce these figures and protect the
nature. It is therefore a positive development for the future.
2. Report Daniel Sierra:
Mr. Daniel Sierra works for AES company. It is a company specialized in renewable energy and provides its
services in 14 different countries. To reach this function he studied electrical and mechanical engineering at
the University of Edinburgh.
In order to link "Work with nature" with his job Mr. Sierra explains that the company focuses its development
mainly on green energy and innovation of viable solutions for the environment. He also explains that being
able to work with professionals from other countries allows to compare the different research and to find the
best solution. During the interview he also answered the question about switching to 100% of green energy.
And he thinks that this solution may be possible in the future if we first find the solution to the excessive use
of oil and polluting fuels.
3. Report Andrew Li Zhi Wong:
Mr. Andrew Li Zhi Wong is a coastal engineer, He is graduated from Delft University in the Netherlands in

construction site in order to carry out his mission.
According to him, Europe is not sufficiently developed on the issue of the environment. It is therefore
necessary to set up international projects that can change the way in which these countries act.
For Mr. Andrew Li Zhi Wong it is also viable to use ecomaterials to reduce the carbon footprint of the
construction. For example, he worked on a project to build a bamboo and mangrove breakwater. This
technique that we can find in other interviews like the one with Henk Jan Verhagen.
4. Report John C. L. Mayson:
Mr. John C.L. Mayson has a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. He also has a master in coastal and
marine engineering and management. Currently he is working for UNOPS as consultancy.
To help the different communities in these projects, the first thing is how to help them. Then it follows a form
and guidelines. Then he made an assessment to see climate change and adaptation to environment.
5. Report Sara Zani:
Mrs. Sara Zani is a member of the Artys srl company as an environmental engineer. The company work in
environment and monitoring of rainfall. The company collaborate with the University of Genoa and with
companies.
One of the projects of the company is a precipitation detection system to monitor hydrogeological
emergencies and disasters. This technology will be more useful because of the global warming and the
climate disturbances that are intensifying. She also says that there is a need to learn more about the
climate problem and about the carbon footprint of industries and so on.
