INTRODUCTION

Eco is an abbreviation for ecology, the system of relationships between living

things, and with their environment. Friendly implies beneficial, or at least not
harmful. It should follow that the term eco-friendly, when added to services or
products, indicates positive, or at least not harmful, effects on living things.
Unfortunately there is no regulation on the use of the term, which restricts its
credibility.
It is only when the word is accompanied by evidence of environmental
performance that it has any empirical meaning, and can be used as a genuine
guide for consumers, especially when weighing up the environmental
preferability of products or services

AIM
The aim of the project is to create more awareness to avoid the materials and
products which are harmful to the nature like plastic usage and to promote green
living that helps to conserve energy and also prevent air , water and noise
pollution. Make our beautiful country safe from non-biodegradable wastes.
To make our surroundings neat and healthy by avoiding the usage of non-
biodegradable products.

5
OBJECTIVES

1.Reduction of environmental pollutants.

2.Resource conservation and energy conservation.
3.Sustainable use of natural resources.
4.Use of recycled resources (promoting the 4Rs)
5.Simplified waste treatment and disposal.
6. Environmental and safety information included on product labels.
7. Goal od Eco design is to anticipate and minimize negative environmental
impacts(of manufacturing ,using and disposing of products).

BASIC INFORMATION
We are all aware of the literal meaning of the word eco-friendly. The world
have evolved into a global village where pollution, disasters, diseases have
spread to a maximum range. In this type of chaos, it is very necessary to
preserve the earth and the living things that exist on it. As human beings and
the dwellers of Mother Nature we have forgotten that we serve a
responsibility to earth and by that it means keeping it safe and protecting its
environment from such events. These issues have grown to a much greater
extent and in contrast with this, the concept of eco-friendly or going eco-
friendly has progressed. In order to recognize this very concept we first need
to understand that why do we need to go eco-friendly? The reasons can be
many but the major ones are as follows:

ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS

This is one of the major concerns that our world is facing nowadays. It can
be related to cutting down of trees, limiting supplies, exploitation of natural
resources etc. Even the water today in most of the localities is not fit for
drinking as most of the industries omit toxic material and waste material into
pure water. They not only damage the purity of the water but also kill the
marine life.

EROSION

6
It can occur for several reasons and causes a lot of damage to the earth
environment. It can be caused by over development of land for construction
purposes or housing purposes, extreme weather conditions etc.

POLLUTION

Pollution is a very common problem which we all are aware of. The main
reason which causes pollution is the smoke that is omitted from the car,
factories and industries. There are three types of pollution namely water, air
and land pollution and sadly we are the victim of all three of them.

In contrast with the above problems, let’s discuss the importance as to why
going eco-friendly is important in today’s world. Our planet is nearly dying
because of the situation we have put it in. The ozone layer is damaged. In
order to save our planet we need to promote self-sustainability and self-
sufficiency. We can not only save the planet but also the animals of which
some are going extinct because of global warming and the worse conditions
the earth is facing by each passing day. Our purpose should be to promote a
greener and healthier environment. Furthermore, in order to promote the
very concept of eco-friendly we can always use eco-friendly products which
include Hybrid Cars, Fuel less Generators, Solar Power Generator, and Eco-
Friendly Air Conditioners etc. Using eco-friendly products will not temper
with your use or productivity but make it more efficient and effective. They
are the basis of Going Green and conserving your environment for a change.

On the other hand, one might wonder the benefits of going eco-friendly. As
a matter of fact, there are many of them. They can be elaborated as follows:

LOWER COST

It is true that purchasing an eco-friendly product will cost you less than
purchasing a normal one. In this way you will be using your money in an
effective manner.

HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE

Eco-friendly products for that matter guarantee you with a promise of

healthier lifestyle. It will even improve the environment and in return will
provide you with ample of benefits.

SUSTAINABILITY

The main aspect of going eco-friendly is about sustainability. Since the

world is corrupted with pollution and toxic amount of materials, making it
sustainable can be a good call.

7
QUALITY OF LIFE

Going eco-friendly also improves your quality of life in terms of mortality,

age, diseases etc. You might have a better shot at living a quality life with
health if you chose to go eco-friendly.

DEVELOPMENT

One of the other factors is development. We believe that development comes

from construction, ideas, innovation and strategies; but how about turning all
our goals and aligning it with the environment. It will not only benefit you
but the environment as well.
This is how binary options works as explained in
this top10binary.com website on how binary options trading and brokers
works.
In order to promote the factor of sustainability and to conserve Mother
Nature, it is important for us to deviate from our conventional ways of greed
and exploitation and look for a better and brighter future. If we as
individuals take the initiative of Going Green for a change, there will be
better drive for development in the areas which are related to green energies.
Recycling is also a wonderful activity through which we cannot waste the
used material and use it over and over again, which in terms means that we
are using are resources efficiently and smartly.

To put it into simple and a realistic scenario; millions of tons of materials is

gone to waste every day, industries omit toxic chemicals in the oceans
everyday making it harder for the marine life to live a quality life, smokes
are omitted from cars and factories and thousands of trees our cut. We are
exploiting our own nature without bearing in mind that what will possibly
happen in the future. However, if we decide to choose an alternative path,
we can always save what we have lost.

ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED

On doing this project we have visited the villages called Turangi and
Dowlaiswaram . There we conducted the survey and awareness regarding our
topic ECO FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT . We visited some schools and
completed our community service project.

8
The day wise activities we have conducted are:

DAY-1

 On this day I visited z.p.p high school which is located in turangi to

conduct our community service project regarding eco friendly
environment and taken permission from the head of the institute by
explaining briefly about the what I am going to lecture about our project
regarding the usage of plastic by showing the ppt. After the explanation
taken permission to conduct activity for 3 days in that school.
 Later went to observe the school permises about the usage of non-
biodegradable products.

9
DAY-2

 On this day after observing the school premises, I

came to know that there is a lot of products that can
harmful and non-ecofriendly like plastic bags and
covers and used water bottles etc

 I conducted a survey of each student about the usage of plastics and about
the ways they know to recycle them and what are the measures they take
to avoid plastic

conducted survey for 3 classes they are 7th,8th-A,8th-B and they are much ware
of recycling of plastics.
After the survey came to know that there is a lot of farmer students in that
school so, I asked about the products of field and cultivation. And about the
seeds which are using in the farms to cultivate food. They said most of them
using a eco-friendly products which is not so harmful to the environment.

10
DAY-3

On this day after the survey, I came to know that some students are not much
aware how to avoid the plastic usage. So,I came with the idea about the creating
awareness program in that school about eco friendly environment.

I gave some solutions to avoid plastic usage by creating awareness among the
students.
 Here are the solutions we mention to avoid plastics during awareness.
1. To plant more trees and plants to reduce the pollution and to maintain eco
friendly environment.
2. Not to throw the vegetables and food wrapped in plastic bags that is harmful
to cows, pigs and other animals which are trying to eat the food in that bag
3. Not to buy products in stores in a plastic bags and try to avoid them.
4. While buying food in curry centers prefer not to buy the curry wraped
in plastic bags and make sure to take a bowl from home.

Conclusion
Eco friendly or Environmental friendly is to stay and live with the intent of not
to harm the environment e live in. Environment should be protected and
conserved so as to provide a sustainable environment for the present and the
future generations.

FUTURE IMPLEMENTATION AS PROJECT

Earth is facing a lot of environmental problems. Such issues like global

warming, air pollution, ozone layer depletion, water pollution, climate change
and many more affect every human and animal on this planet. Therefore, people
have to adopt the principles of eco-friendly living. People who make these
lifestyle changes become not only healthier. They limit the destruction of the
natural environment and wildlife. Want to be healthier and happier as a result of
your choices? Royal Craft Wood will show you that everything is possible.

PRINCIPLESOFECO-FRIENDLYLIVING

Green living is based on minimizing waste, limiting the use of Earth’s natural
resources and wise use of the environment. The following are the guiding
principles which can help make green living a reality.

SUSTAINABLEWATERUSAGE

The requirement for the efficient use of water in farms and manufacturing is
part of eco-friendly living principles. The importance of this principle in the
need to advance good water utilization practices. We can achieve that by
designing water management systems. Such systems can deal with flooding,
water wastage, and protection of water sources from pollution or destruction.

ORGANICFOODS

Eating organic foods whenever possible is one of the main principles of green
living. Choose healthy, local, organic, low impact and seasonal diets. Limit food
waste. Therefore, people need to support local farming and organically grown
products. It is not so hard to do. Just buy local and eat organic food.

24
SUSTAINABLEMATERIALS

Sustainable materials refer to healthy, efficient, and durable products. Examples

include materials that are locally sourced. For example, our products are made
from eco-friendly bamboo.

SUSTAINABLETRANSPORT

The use of low carbon transport mechanisms is a good principle of green living.
It implies the need to increase green transport services. The best available
options include electric trains and cars, walking or cycling. All these options are
good alternatives to driving high emission vehicles.

NOWASTEANDNOCARBON

Focus on reducing the waste sent to the landfills. It is essential to buy and
consume only products that you really need. The key is quality, not quantity.
Finding the easiest ways of using efficient and renewable technology is also a
goal.

CREATINGAHEALTHYENVIRONMENT

Active and meaningful life activities help you achieve good health and well
being. Fun, healthy, and less stressful living is a goal.

Contributions

Eco-friendly is a target plan to make 100% of its private label products

environmentally sustainable by designing items that are more durable, and
eliminate waste and encourage reuse by 2040. The retailer also plans to have
100% of the plastic packaging for its brands recyclable, compostable or reusable
by 2025.
