Back to the Future(1985)

For me, it was the second time watching this movie. I was interested in this film series
because this film uses a unique time setting. In this 1980s sci-fi classic, small-town California
teen Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) is thrown back into the '50s when an experiment by his
eccentric scientist friend Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) goes awry. Traveling through time
in a modified DeLorean car, Marty encounters young versions of his parents (Crispin Glover,
Lea Thompson), and must make sure that they fall in love or he'll cease to exist. Even more
dauntingly, Marty has to return to his own time and save the life of Doc Brown.

The interesting part of this film begins when Dr. Brown invited Marty to go to the
Twin Pines Mall at 1 p.m. Arriving there, he met Dr. Brown and his dog Einstein. At that
place Dr. Brown brought some of his lab equipment and a unique car. Then he asked Marty
to record an experiment, in which Doc Brown sent Einstein 1 minute into the future using a
modified DeLorean DMC-12 car powered by plutonium. Dr. Brown uses a DeLorean type
car on the grounds that its body is made of glass fibber coated with stainless steel.

Due to unwanted incidents, Marty was forced to flee from the Twin Pines Mall by
using the DeLorean car. Long story short, he was thrown back to 1955, where Marty met his
parents who were still young. However, Marty accidentally blocks their meeting. This is what
causes chaos, because changes in past events will have an impact on the future, so that if
Marty's parents do not meet in the past, in the future (in this case, 1985) Marty will not be
born. Therefore, Marty must try everything he can so that his parents can meet again. I
assume there could be a paradox in Marty's case. Paradox is an event or statement that
contradicts (contradicts) the event itself. For example, if Marty fails to bring his parents
together, it means that he will not be born. However, if he was not born, then who would
separate his parents in 1955. This incident is similar to the theory of The Grandfather
Paradox, where a person (given the name A) goes back in time and kills his grandfather
before she got married, thus causing A's father to not be born, and A's existence also to cease
to exist. If A doesn't exist to kill his grandfather, then grandfather A won't be killed and so
A's father is born, which in turn brings A to the world, so A can go back in time to kill his
grandfather and so on.
Back to the movie Back To The Future, in 1955 Dr. Brown and Marty think of a way
to return Marty to the future. They then use the information Marty got in 1985 to activate the
time machine on the DeLorean's car, namely that a bolt of lightning will hit the city's clock
tower, and the electrical power of the lightning has the same strength as plutonium, so the
DeLorean's car can activate again. After Marty returns to 1985, it seems that everything he
does in 1955 has an impact on him in the present (1985), for example, Dr. Brown, who was
actually shot dead by Libyan terrorists in 1985, survived because of the advice given by
Marty (from 1985) in 1955 to wear a bulletproof vest in the future. At the end of the first
series of films, Dr. Brown takes Marty and his girlfriend, Jennifer Parker, played by Claudia
Wells, to go to 2015 to fix the problems caused by their unborn child in 1985.

In my opinion, Back to the Future represents the innovative science fiction story of
that era, which is to travel through time, but with elements of excellent entertainment on all
sides, starting with the time machine itself in the form of the DeLorean car, the creation of
how to use the machine, the cultural differences that occurred, and ending with the issue of
misinterpreted love. Everything is contained in a small but strong scale.
