Additional Comment: Reminder to not get sloppy on contouring and to
remember the basic training received over the course of the program.

planning. Additional Comment: Carlos still shows some difficulty applying old
knowledge in new settings however has made excellent improvement
in the past few weeks.

Utilizes critical thinking skills when evaluating dose volume histograms. Partially Meets Expectations [5 pts]
Additional Comment: Carlos has difficulty here and there in
comprehending what was discussed. Through repeated mistakes, he is
starting to understand. Case in point, eliminating the tail of the PTV in
IMRT cases. I've advised reviewing the DVH for this.
Uses problem solving skills when comparing various treatment plans for Meets Expectations [10 pts]
a specific treatment case. Additional Comment: He has this ability but lacks the strength in
application across different types of treatment plans.
Is able to design optimal treatment plans based on calculations, dose Meets Expectations [10 pts]
volume histograms, prescription, and treatment implementation. Additional Comment: Still developing his confidence, strength, and
understanding in this area.

but he's doing his best to stay on schedule.

Additional Comment: Carlos told me that his research course is taking up a lot of time outside of school. He's doing his best to stay on task to finish all of his comps on time for
graduation. He feels the pressure but is trying to do his best.
10. Please provide a comment to let the student know of any weakness they can work on, and/or any strength to commend:
Carlos is working very hard and putting a lot of time and effort into trying to successfully finish the school year. However, we spoke about the long clinic days he is dedicating to
his learning, and at some point it may be detrimental to his clarity/view on clinical learning. I've strongly advised him to consider taking a healthier break to reset his mind. Also
advised to reassess his time management and organization skills to see if he can figure out how to improve this to save time spent on past learnings.
