Career Life Connections 12: Post-Secondary TRANSITION Plan

Essential Question:
· How can I become more informed and knowledgeable about my options for my life after high school?

Graduating students usually have a variety of options to contemplate. You will need to complete each of
following sections of the Transition Plan, which is intended to help you better understand which path interests
you most so that you can pursue it after graduation.

Follow these steps:

1) Complete Your Career Plans (You will need a Plan A & B)

2) Next, complete two of the following three options:

 Post-secondary education or training (You’ve already completed most of this research with your PSI
Research Assignment)
 Travel / Gap year
 Working full-time and living on your own.

4) Submit your Transition Plan online through Teams before the deadline and post your completed Transition
Plan to your CLC Portfolio Page on your website.

Itinerary and Budget

Using Power Point or another visual medium, create a travel plan and be sure you have included ALL of the
following information for your travel itinerary.

Where?
South Korea, Seoul, Busan, Incheon, Daegu (July 1st-31st, August 8th -16th), Japan, Tokyo (August 1st -
7th)

When?
Flight to from Vancouver to Incheon on July 1st. Staying in Korea until August first where we will go to
Japan for a week before going back to Korea till the 16th.

How?
-International flight to Korea (Air Canada- Aprox.$1,850)
- Flight from Korea to Japan (Korea air- Aprox. $330)
-Subway/Train (About $3 every time)
-Bus (The price will vary depending on the distance but the price of the subway or train)

Accommodations
-Housing in Korea will be free because I will be staying with my friends’ relatives(My friend’s uncle
has an apartment in Daegu where we will stay for the time in Korea)

Budgeting Costs
-Food Costs: Aprox $25 a day ($1,440)
-A travel visa is not needed when traveling to Korea for less than 6 months
-Some of the recommended vaccinations include: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Typhoid, Japanese
Encephalitis, Rabies but it is not required
-Some of the activities and entertainments I will be doing: Cafes ($4-$5 per drink), Karaoke rooms
($10 per hour), Golfing ($10 per 8 hole game), Naksan Park (Free), Seonyudo Park (Free)
-A phone plan will cost about $50 depending on the type of plan for a month
-Travel insurance can range from $200-$400 depending on many factors
- I will not need to buy anything as I will only be bringing a bit of clothes and my essentials
- I will be buying lots of clothes since I will not bring many clothes, along with many snacks, clothing,
and anything I find interesting to give to my family and friends
