WHEREAS, Pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2023-001, all Barangay government are
mandated for the implementation of the Halina’t Magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay (HAPAG) Project;
WHEREAS, the barangay shall encourage their residents to set up their family vegetable garden and / or
plant fruit bearing trees in available open spaces;
WHEREAS, in establishing the community garden, the barangay shall identify which vegetable plants
(e.g. leafy vegetables, cruciferous vegetables, fruit bearing plants, root crops, (e.g. sweet potato, cassava, carrots,
radish, potato, garlic, etc.) they which to grow;
WHEREAS, barangay with suitable spaces are hereby encourage to plant bamboos (kawayan);
WHEREAS, barangay that do not have vacant areas, shall implement alternative gardening such as
container vertical gardening, hydroponics, aquaponics, and aeroponics
WHEREAS, the barangay are encouraged to coordinate and request from the concerned city/ municipal
government for any vacant property owned by the local government or with private individuals who owned a certain
vacant lot that be used to establish the barangay community garden.
NOW THEREFORE, I GENARO B. SARSABA, Punong Barangay of Ariosa, Molave, Zamboanga del
Sur, by virtue of the power vested me by law, do hereby order the constitution of the Barangay Council for t
SECTION 1. Established of Violence Against Women and their Children (VAWC) Desk in Barangay
Ariosa, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur and Designating Barangay Kagawad Marecyl D. Abear as VAWC Desk
Officer.
2. Record the number of gender-based violence handled by the Barangay and submit a quarterly
report on all cases of VAWC to the DILG Municipal Field Office (MLGOO) and Municipal
Social Welfare Development Office (MSWDO);
3. Keep VAWC case records confidential and secured, and ensure that only authorized personnel
can access it;
4. Assist victim of VAWC in securing Barangay Protection (BPO) and access necessary
services;
5. Develop the Barangay gender responsive plan in addressing gender-based violence, including
support services, capacity building and referral system.
7. Address other forms of abuses committed against women especially senior citizen, women
with disabilities and other marginalized groups;
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVELY – This Executive Order shall take effect immediately and any other prior
issuances is hereby repealed, modified and amended accordingly.
