Problem Statement:
Deforestation is one of main factors affecting the sustainability of our environment, What must be done to prevent
it and restore the damage we have caused to the environment?

The Idea:

Deforestation solution:

The first step is to stop illegal logging. Cutting down trees in large numbers should be stopped. But then, it arises the
question, "What do we do without wood?". Alternatives, we use alternatives to compensate the resource. One of the
best alternatives is Maderon. They are made from nutshells of hazelnuts, almonds, etc that have been crushed and
made into paste and mixed with resin. Which is then molded for furniture uses. Many people do believe that bamboo
is an alternative but no, that's a big mistake. Bamboos are a crucial element for the environment as they produce 35%
more oxygen that average trees. Another alternative is the cork, it is indeed made out of wood but the good news is,
we don't have to cut down the whole tree to extract the resource (the bark of the tree is enough). The outer parts of
the cork tree can regenerate itself within a couple of years, with the tree's lifespan reaching almost 200 years. There
is also a type of furniture called the "Wicker furniture which is created by weaving natural or synthetic fibres around a
wooden frame. Even though this furniture requires actual wood for a frame, it does not need a large amount of wood.

Sewage treatment solution:

The use of composting toilets is a great way to reduce the pollution. The way it works is, in these toilets there is a tank
that has aerobic bacteria are present, which act upon the waste and turn them into compost. This compost can either
be used in agriculture or used in biogas plant which will then be used as an energy source. Not only do we prevent
contamination if oceans and rivers but also benefit from the alternative.
