Packaging
Oil cake is usually packaged in bags made from jute, polypropylene (PP), or polyethylene (PE).
The packaging size varies depending on the target market and distribution channel.

General packaging size:

Retail: 500g, 1kg, 2kg, and 5kg packs are popular for direct sales to farmers and small-scale
poultry farms.

Wholesale: Larger packs of 10 kg, 25 kg, and 50 kg cater to bulk buyers such as feed
manufacturers and large poultry farms.

Storage

Proper storage is crucial to prevent moisture absorption and spoilage.

Jute bags: Traditionally used but prone to moisture absorption and insect damage.
PP and PE bags: provide good protection from moisture and insects but require proper
ventilation to prevent overheating.

Silos: Large scale storage facilities like silos are increasingly being used by major processors
and exporters to ensure optimum storage conditions.
