FITNESS CENTER VISIT

Aim: To understand about the equipments used in the grym and the mechanisms of the gym.

Introduction

There are certain objectives on joining a gym,that will Improve the physical and mental health of
an individual. Going to gym daily can also help you to stay focussed committed, consistent and
accountable, all of which are Keys for achieving your health goals. some of the benefits that an
individual can achieve are the metabolism stays higher for longer after a weights session,
muscle regeneration and basal metabolic rate are the signs of improved health. Equipment and
expert knowledge, Increasing the chances of physically getting fit, increased energy levels.

● Improved body balance and flexibility.

● Motivation, commitment and accountability.

GYM VISIT

Gym is a place of workout where Various equipments and machines are typically used on 13th
October, 2023, we, the department of nutrition and dietetics want to Visit the fitness centre near
to the campus, which was named as Heritage fitness center

BSC-Food, nutrition and dietetics 3rd years along with our respective faculties Visited the gym
and trainer made us to understand about the gym, the equipments, how to use them, for which
muscles they are forcing and he showed some of the training postures as well. There are almost
If equipments and the weights, support bms which we will use along with the morin equipments.
He explained about all of the equipments and the supporting equipments of the main
equipment. He Highlights about the Isolated and compound exercises and how the machines
used for both this isolated and compounded exercises.
Isolated and compound Exercises

The main difference between the isolated and the compound exercises is the amount of muscle
being used in isolated exercise fouls on specific muscles group with little output from other
muscles. A compound exercise focuses on a variety of muscles groups being used through one
movement. For beginners, compound exercises will build the foundations quickly by giving you
more time and the effort you put in focus on a single muscle in the body.

There are several equipments are seen in the gym some of them are listed below;

Decline Bench

the decline bench press is an excellent exercise for strengthening your lower chest muscles. It’s
a variation of the flat bench press, a popular chest workout.

In a decline bench press, the bench is set to 15 to 30 degrees on a decline. This angle places
your upper body on a downward slope, which activates the lower pectoral muscles as you push
weights away from your body.

When part of a complete chest routine, decline bench presses can help your pecs look more
defined.
Flat Bench

A flat bench is used in many strength exercises. The bench allows you to stand, sit or lie in the
right position to perform many different exercises. Some benches are flat, while others are
adjustable in height

Tire machine

Gone are the days when training was limited to the same old traditional gym equipment.While
originally used in strongman and strongwomen competitions, tires have become a staple in
well–equipped gyms throughout the world.They allow for a unique kind of strength and
conditioning training that readily transfers to a variety of sports.
Rope

These ropes are known as battle ropes, and many people use them for an intense strength-
building and calorie-burning workout.While it may seem easy to swing a rope up and down,
you’d be surprised how challenging lifting and moving those heavy ropes can be, especially for
more than a few seconds.If this sounds interesting, you may want to learn more about the
benefits of battle rope exercises and how you can add them to your workout routine.

Kettle bells:

kettle bells are used to perform many types of exercises, Induding ballistic exercises,strength
and flexibility training. kettle bells are the primary equipment used in the weight lifting sport of
kettle bell lifting.
lifting weights:

Lifting weights when coupled with the right nutrition helps in building up lean muscles,
Increasing your physical strength Repetition can help you have a more focused workout,
developing your muscle gradually Shonger

Weight bar/Barbell:

This is a longer version of dumbells, this is used for free weight training and competitive sports,
such as power lifting, olympic weight lifting, and cross hit; Biceps Curl, bench press, deadlift,
squats etc are the exercises.

Dumbells:

Dumbells are Versatile and can be used to forget & wide range of muscle groups. By
challenging your muscles, you can increase your strength and improve your overall fitness level
They are usually used for compound exercises.
5. Balance ball /Birth ball

Increase the abdominal and muscle strength. Increase balance and stability. Develop an overall
Control and Strength

Conclusion
In conclusion, after the (gym) fitness center visit we can improve our knowledge regarding the
exercises. There are several things that we should need to talk about or understand about the
exercises. How they will help an individual to be happy and healthier in their life, which means
they focus on both the mental and physical health of an individual. There are Varieties of
equipments available in a gym. Understand about their functioning, their usage in a particular
exercise and many more..
