SECTION D Writing Letter Writing Generally letters are of two types — formal and informal. There are quite a few differences between these two types of letters. Informal letters are also called personal letters. Some examples of formal letters are job appli tions, leave letters, invitation letters, business letters and letters to the editor. Informal letters are of personal types, and are written to friends or relatives.
