Main Symptoms: No adverse health effect expected if the product is handled in accordance with the safety data sheet
and the label. Symptoms that may arise if the product is mishandle are:
Ingestion: May cause irritation to the mucous membranes
Eye contact: A severe eye irritant
Skin Contact: Contact with skin may result in skin irritation
Inhalation: May cause irritation to the mucous membranes of the respiratory trac. Irritating effects increase with strength
of solution / exposure time.

Control Measures:

 Personnel shall be provided with instruction, information and training.


 Ensure ventilation is adequate and that air concentrations of components are controlled below quoted
exposure standards.
 Avoid generating and inhaling mists.
 Use with local exhaust ventilation or while wearing organic vapour respirator or particulate respirator
meeting the requirements of AS1715 and AS1716.
 Do not allow material to dry out
 Keep away from heat/ sparks /open flames / hot surface – No smoking.
 Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray.
 Wear protective gloves/protective clothing / eye protection.
 Decanting hazardous liquids into plastic bottles is prohibited.
 Eating, drinking, and smoking are prohibited in areas where hazardous substance is in use.
 Keep container tightly closed.

Wear suitable protective clothing and gloves.
Avoid release to the environment. Refer to special instructions / safety data sheets.

First Aid Measures


Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get
medical attention immediately.
Ingested: Rise mouth with water. Do not give any liquid to unconscious person. Drink large amount of gelatin solution
or milk. If not available drink water, do not give vinegar, baking soda or acidic antidotes. Get medical attention.
Skin contact: in case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing
contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention
Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, lifting lower and upper eyelids
occasionally. Get medical attention immediately

Handling and Storage


 Store in a sealed container with a breathing lid.
 Keep container closed at all times,
 Store in a dark, cool well ventilated area away from heat and light
 Fire extinguishers shall be available at storage areas and where hazardous substance are in use.

Handling: Avoid breathing of vapor, avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing, keep away from ignition sources, use
on electrically grounded handling equipment and ensure adequate ventilation / fumes exhaust hoods, do not eat, drink
or smoke while handling.

Spillage control: Sweep up spillage of dry powder and re-use, wash down mixing area with water, wash skin if
concrete or mortar gets inside gloves or boots.

Disposal: Can be neutralised with weak reducing agent such as sodium sulphite, Bisulifite or Thiosulfate. Disposed of
on site or approved waste site.
