Dear All,

On behalf of School of Information Technology, I wish you all a HAPPY

NEW YEAR 2014 and WARM GREETINGS!

Hope this mail finds you in good health. Its because of you (PROUD
ALUMNI), who have taken the responsibility of becoming the Ambassadors of
School of IT, we are continuously deriving inspiration and are making strides to
improve the quality of our temple of learning - "SCHOOL OF INFORMATION
TECHNOLOGY", JNTUH, Hyderabad. What you have gained or taken from
School of IT is nothing in front of what you gave back to this Institute. We are
undoubtedly; falling short of words to express this emotion. We always want to
cherish this legacy of having produced such brilliant minds (YOU) for the good
of the society and your own personal growth since year 2000. We only expect
that you always live upto this hard-earned responsibility of ALUMNI in the years
to come and support / encourage SIT.

Under the able Directorship of our beloved Directors (present & past), be it
Dr.L.V.A.R.Sarma, Dr.P.V.D.Somasekhar, Dr.B.C.Jinaga, Dr.K.Lal Kishore or
Dr.M.Sreenivasa Rao or Dr.A.Govardhan (present), we always tried our best to
serve the student community and hope we presume that we have lived upto the
expectations of the University too. In continuation of the same pursuit, we want
to make an everlasting mark in the society too by getting accreditations and
certifications which can establish our Institute as the most aspired destination for
Education & Research. This herculean task is impossible without your valuable
support.

In the year 2014, as a part of the roadmap towards excellence, we have

successfully cleared the NAAC accreditation (in 2012) with your great support
and encouragement. This academic year School of IT has decided to apply for
various Accreditations boards (UGC, NBA, etc) which needs your precious inputs
again.

SIT has applied for UGC Autonomous status, as a result a Peer Team will visit
our School on 3rd & 4th March, 2014 to review the facilities, interact with Staff
& Students and if everything goes well, our School will be granted UGC
Autonomous status. Autonomous status to a School like ours will certainly
enhance the financial support, education quality, even more better infrastructure
& facilities and more Courses.

We take this opportunity to invite you for an Interaction Meeting with UGC
Peer Team and the SIT Alumini scheduled on 3rd March 2014 (Monday) in
the afternoon session. We again kindly request for your presence on this
auspicious day and are eager to hear your valuable suggestions.
