(ICC)

I, Ms. Riya Pareek, as the In-House Counsel for R&P Associates, am writing this
application to you citing the reasons for the delay in the constitution of ICC.
The reasons are as follows:

1. The Complainant, Ms. Barkha Dubey has been working as a senior associate in
the firm since March, 2020.
2. She has filed a complaint against Mr. Anil, who is working as a major partner
in the firm from 2019. There have been no such complaints previously against
Mr. Anil.
3. Ms. Barkha stated in her complaint that Mr. Anil has been harassing her and
asking for sexual favours for the past few months and used to make remarks on
her appearance and dressing styles.
4. The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) was to be set up on 17th October,
2023 but was unable to be established due to unanticipated administrative
difficulties that arose during the committee's formation. Furthermore, a
thorough consultation process has been conducted to obtain input and
 comments as part of our commitment to guaranteeing openness. A great deal of
effort has gone into selecting capable individuals with the necessary knowledge
to join the committee.

5. I am writing to the Local Complaints Committee on behalf of the firm to

inform them that the legal processes will begin on 20th November, 2023, after
the formation of the Internal Complaints Committee.

We genuinely care about our workers' well-being and strive to stop and deal with any
instances of sexual harassment. We also greatly appreciate your cooperation.
