1. What are the 3 major expressions of prayer?

It is the vocal prayer, meditation prayer, and contemplations..

2. Define Vocal prayers?

Vocal Prayer is giving voice to what is going on in our hearts and in our souls. It can be as
simple as saying “Thank You, God, for this beautiful meaning. I feel that people don’t realize the
value of waking up and starting another day, so vocal prayer is important.

3. Define Meditation prayers?

To meditate is to reflect or think about God. We put all of our stresses behind and pay attention
to God and recognize his presence in our daily lives.

4. Define Contemplation?

When we rest quietly in the presence of God, we engage in contemplation. In contemplation we


spend time with God in wordless silence in awareness that he is with us.

5. Which prayer do you think is the best or helps you the most when needed?

I think the prayer that best Helps me the most is petition. Petition Prayer asking for our needs of
health and strength as Christians.

6. Why is communal prayer important?

It is important because it is the expression of our life in community, and nourishes and sustains
our life, allowing us to know that others are with us in our beliefs, as we are praying together.

7. Why is personal prayer important?

Personal Prayer is Important because:

- it builds our relationship with God


- It puts us into the habit of living and acting as God would find Good.
- It can improve our participation in our faith community
- It gives us time to be with God on our own
- It helps to make our religion more personal and deeply rooted

The most important Catholic prayers are the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed.
Creed basically means “I believe” and the Catholic “creeds” express the traditions and beliefs
which are at the heart of the faith.
