Sexting is the transmission of provocative images or inviting text messages with the use of a
mobile or smart phone. With the help of the philosophy chosen for the argument, sexting is
used by one to maximize pleasue, may it be with a minor or a legally aged person. With it
being popular among teens who are underaged, it may be considered as child pornography
under the eyes of the law. Sexting is more dangerous online as it may involve people pre-
tending to be someone they’re not and asking for sexual or nude photos.

Child pornography refers to any representation, whether visual, audio, or written combi-
nation thereof, by electronic, mechanical, digital, optical, magnetic or any other means,
of child engaged or involved in real or simulated explicit sexual activities.
Under RA 9775 or the Anti-child pornography act, child pornography refers to the repre-
sentation of children involved in real or simulates sexual activities by visual or written.
Catfishing is also a way one can engage in sexting under a fake name and use it for plea-
sure or money by selling these pictures online.
