In your classroom, you use 3


types of nouns

Abstract nouns
These are nouns that we can not physically see or
count.
They include:
Ideas, Emotions, Processes, States and Qualities.
Examples:
Humour, Wisdom, Friendship, Happiness, Fear, Thirst,
Boredom, Faith, Justice, Camouflage and Imagination.
Collective nouns
They are nouns that are grouped together and counted
as a single subject/object.
These include:
Flock, School, Tribe, Army, Bunch, Herd, Gander,
Government, Council, Choir, Pack, Family, Crew,
Assembly, Gang, Troop.

Concrete nouns
They are the most common nouns and are categorized
as: People, Places, Animals and Things.
They include, but are not limited to:
Boy, Girl, Man, Woman, Car, House, Dog, Fish, Bicycle,
Building, School, Floor, Carpet, Mat, Cup, Ice, Water,
Mountain, Monkey, Cambodia/Kampuchea
