I. Introduction

It has been an issue from our society like groups and institution which is the
schools

that contributes to our education. It is already in the culture and their contribution as well. It
influences

on the curriculum of education. There are many perspectives of social foundations such as
comparative,

cultural, historical, and philosophical. These are applied to examine and analyze an educational
issue

and it will help to fully understand the meaning and interpretation of that educational issue. It
will also

helps us become socially aware of our responsibilities not only to us but also to the society.

II. Body/Content

a. Summary

The topic Social Foundations of education tackled about the culture ,

socialization,

and the concept of education. For the aspects of culture, it is a way of thinking and behaving, it is
a

shared rules and ideas from accumulated beliefs, habits and values. it is also essential for
understanding

individuals and societies. The school also serves as cultural agent because it serves as perhaps
the major

institution and ensures the transmission of knowledge and values.

 Socialization prepares youth for effective functioning in adulthood and it
transmit

culture and allows society to function. And the family, as agents of socialization, plays a major
role as an

early major socializing agent of the society which introduces children to societal norms and
behavior

that provides a sense of identity and belongingness to society.

Peer group also is an agent of socialization because it helps children

interact with

each other and it teaches them how to be accepted by others. There are other agents of
socialization like

schools, television and digital media.

b. Meaning of report

This report “social foundations of education” discussed about the different

perspective. It

explore and analyze the different issues with our society. The educational policies and practices.
With

the different perspective, it will allow the students to think and share their experiences with
peers.

c. Reaction proper
As a teacher and at the same time a student, it is important to discuss the
topic

about “ social foundations of education so that to be refreshed of the different perspective of it.
Like the

culture, socialization and education. These helps the youth to develop their ways of thinking..As
they

learned, they can analyze the influence of these to the society.

For me, culture can help an individual the way he/she thinks and
behaves. It is also
 a way of understanding individuals and society. The schools also help to ensures the
transmission of

values and knowledge. And it is pass on the society’s norms.

The report is so interesting and helpful to the listeners because it gives us the idea

about social foundations of education.

d. Applications

The knowledge I learned from this report will be shared to others and
convincing them also to add further readings .

III. Conclusions

I therefore conclude that nowadays, there are so many agents to

socialization.But it is

the responsible of parents as well as the teachers to guide the students.
