Just like WD hdd, we can re-assign to a new offset for SAMSUNG HDDs .

Just change the offset of the module in

module FIT, save this module, identify the hard disk in the option Hard disk information, load a list from file and save
in the donor. Some modules have checksum, so, pay attention this.

Steps:

1 - Turn on the donor unit

2 - Backup all modules and tracks.

3 – Power off donor and Hot Swap (sleep)

4 – Change PCB donor to patient drive and aweking.

5 - Backup the important modules(patient) : D, AD and AS Importance level .19 and 73 as well. And ROM and FIPS.

6 – Check the tracks of patient. This is important to receive new modules.

7 - Check the problem track and its corresponding module. For example, TLIST and VLIST are on track 2. If track 2 has

a problem, so we have to change the offset to some good track.

8 - Return the PCB to the donor and start changing the tracks for the donor by editing the FIT module.

SAMSUNG MODULE STRUCTURE (02 – FIT)

 Change 02 to a another good track (pay attention with hex code like tracks 10 (0A), 11 (0B))

9 - Save the FIT module in another folder.

10 - In MRT software, open "Hard Disk Information" and then "Load the module list from a file" and choose the 02
FIT saved file and reload the information.

11 - Save the changed modules to be recorded in the new tracks. INCLUDE 02 FIT because is a module dir changed.
THIS IS IMPORTANT.

12 - At this moment, your patient HDD will be ready for hot swap with the new track positions and be able to recover
your patient.

13 - You can save the important modules ( D, AS and AD) from your PATIENT to your DONOR.

14 - Hot Swap (sleep)

15 – Change PCB donor to patient drive and aweking.

16 – Write modules(DONOR) : 19 and 73 to you PATIENT. And ROM FIPS.

17 – Clear A-LIST

18 – Begin the data recovery.
