Affirmative form
Simply conjugate it according to the subject of the sentence:
- I am
- You are
- He/She/It is
- We are
- You are
- They are
Example sentences:
- I am a student and also a teacher
- You are my friend
- He is from Brazil but he lives in the UK
- She is a doctor at the Community Hospital
- It is a beautiful day
- We are sisters from the same father

Negative Form
Simply add "not" after the the verb to be:
- I am not
- You are not
- He/She/It is not
- We are not
- You are not is not = isn’t
- They are not are not – aren’t
Example sentences:
- I’m not tired
- You aren't my teacher
- He isn't a good singer
- She is not a good professional
- It isn't my responsability
- We aren't ready yet
- You aren't hungry
- They aren't coming to the party
Interrogative form:
Simply invert the subject and the verb:
Example sentences:
- Am I late?
- Are you my neighbor?
- Is he busy today?
- Is she our new coworker?
- Are we at the final location?
- Are you okay?
- Are they at the meeting?
Short answers:
