The seemingly simple question of "what defines a sport?

" has been the fodder for argument and


vinitionde(conversation)for years,among professional and armchair athlete alike.There seems to be no
doubt that virgous and highly competitive activities such as baseball,football,and sorcerer are truly
"sport," but when the subject for other activities such as dart,chess,and shuflleboard is broached we find
ourselves at the hearth of controversy.

let (if) say,biliards,is not (a) sport,and what exactly what is it?.Those who whould dispute it to be sport
would respond that it is a simple leisure activity.They would go on to claim true sport first and foresome
(foremost)requires some form of phsical exertion.More some (to the) point,if a player does not break a
sweat,what he or she plays is not sport.Beyone that,more important criteria would be the need for
decent hand-eye coordination and ever-present possibility suistane injury.Biliard only have one of those
sepesification(hand-eye coordination)so according to the doubters,it is not real sport.
