19, 20 & 21

Chapter 19.

Tarkin and Darth Vader work together to quell the rebellion.


Tarkin, using his knowledge and skills, tracks down a conspiracy involving the theft of his ship,
Carrion Peak, and the hacking of the HoloNet.
He examines information about characters such, as Teller, Knotts, Fair, Taft, Salikk, Cala, Artoz
and Hask, seeking to understand who is behind these events.
Tarkin speculates whether those involved have separatist or republican backgrounds and seek
to unravel their motivations and connections.
Antar IV's past is also mentioned as possibly being plot-related.
On deployment, Iarkin and his team locate the
damaged and abandoned ship, with no sign of
the crew leading him to believe that the traitors
may have escaped This intensifies the search
for answers.
Tarkin ponders the possibility of betraval and
struggles to identify those responsible behind it
all.
Vader demonstrates his strength and
ruthlessness against the rebels.
Conflicts and differences in approach arise
between Tarkin and Vader.

Chapter 20.
Tarkin and Vader realize that they need to unify their power to become more efficient.
They have a conversation on the bridge of a ship called the Executrix.
Vader reports that an officer named Rancit believes a group of dissidents plans to
attack an Imperial Academy on Carida, sacrificing himself in the process.
With permission, Rancit will redeploy ships and lead a task force to deal with the
situation.
Tarkin and Vader agree with this approach.
Then Tarkin shares a personal story about his youth on a planet called Eriadu.
He talks about a corvette called Pico da Carriça, which was named after a special
geographic feature of Eriadu.
Tarkin describes how he faced challenges on the plateau and particinated in a trial on
Carrion Peak.
In that test, he had to deal with wild creatures salled veernaks.
Tarkin recounts how he used his wits and
cunning to defeat a veermok called the Shadow,
earning the respect of the creatures' pack.
He explains that this was a test that all
members of the larkin family had to pass. At the
end, Tarkin expresses his satisfaction at being
the last Tarkin to pass this test.
After this conversation, Vader leaves for his
mission, and Tarkin stavs, on the ship.
The story highlights how Tarkin used bis
abilities to overcome obstacles and excel in his
family and the Imperial Academy.

Chapter 21.

caught unawares in an attack near the Carida Mobile Base.
As they were preparing to fire on a supply convoy Darth Vader suddenly appears on the
bridge and reveals that Rancit was plotting with some guns against the Empire.
Vader unmasks Rancit, explaining how he devised a trap to eliminate Rancit's cronies.
The fight continues and Tarkin, aboard the Executrix, leads the battle against the enemy
ships, showing that he is determined to use force to control the Empire.
Meanwhile Teller, on another ship, has trouble calling for help and decides to escape
using hyperspace.
Despite the difficulties, Tarkin’s Star Destroyer
manages to damage an enemy carrier, The
emperor watches Coruscant and thinks about its
power in the dark side of the Force.
When they search for survivors of the shiv
carrier, they find dead and captured crew
members, including Anora Fair, Knotts and
others.
Tarkin says he intends to take the prisoners to
Coruscant to gather information.
