HEALTHY TIP FOR A DINNER

Nopales Salad
4 portions

Ingredients:
• 4 cups of nopales cooked and cut into strip
• 2 cups of panela cheese cut into squares
• ½ cup chopped onion
• 4 tablespoons of oil
• 4 radishes
• Oregano, pepper and vinegar to taste

Preparation:
1. Wash and cook the nopales
2. Mix the oil with the vinegar,
oregano and pepper
3. Drain and add the nopales along
with the chopped onion and tomato
4. Mix and serve

Nopal salad is good because nopal is touted to treat


diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity and hangovers. It is also
touted for its antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties.

People usually eat this salad for lunch to accompany foods


that provide protein.
