Dear Colleagues,
Greetings from Hubballi-Dharwad: The Cultural Capital of Karnataka. It is
both a privilege and an honour for us, the members of the Hubballi-
Dharwad City Branch of the Association of Surgeons of India to welcome
you all to the 42nd Annual Conference of the Association of Surgeons of
India Karnataka Chapter (KSC-ASICON 2024) to be held from 9–11th
February, 2024. The conference will include a live operative workshop,
the Professor T S Jayaram Continuing Surgical Education Programme and
various other scientific sessions. The workshop and scientific sessions
have been meticulously designed to cover all aspects of surgery. Our aim
is to EMERGE from the shadow of the Covid pandemic, ENCOURAGE our
younger surgeons, ENHANCE our skills & at the same time strive towards
EXCELLENCE. For this purpose, we have invited faculty comprising of
renowned specialists from all over the country, who will endeavour to
update our clinical knowledge. Let us meet in the SDM University Campus
for this academic extravaganza.

Distance from Hubli: Approximately 164 kilometers
Hampi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a historical treasure trove located
on the banks of the Tungabhadra River. It boasts stunning ruins of the

Jog falls

The second-highest plunge waterfall in India, Jog Falls is a major tourist
attraction in Karnataka and is the highest waterfall in the state. Second, to the
Nohkalikai Falls of Meghalaya, Jog falls drops about a huge 253 m (850 ft. ) in a
single fall. However, due to the construction of Linganamakki Dam which is a
hydroelectricity plant closeby.
