What I do:

I do coaching and workshops for companies and self-employed people and I always try to bring
my content across in a very visual way and with a good story, so that the whole thing is as much
fun as possible and stimulates creativity.

I also want my clients and participants to feel like they are going on a journey, an expedition,
during my coaching sessions and workshops. That's why I named my company "Internal
Expedition".

The two central points in my work are adventurousness and mindfulness.

What I want to do:

Now I want to build a world of my own for Internal Expedition. A world that can be found on my
homepage and in my presentations.

The world should feel like a mix of Tomb Raider, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Futurama, and Duck-
Tales (the new ones from 2017). It should be adventurous, but not scary. So it must not be too
dark. It can be playful, but not childish. It may include action, but not be brutal.

It should focus on three characters:

Ani:
He is a funny young man who likes to be comfortable. He shies away from hard work, but he
wouldn't let his team down either. He is messy and disorganized, but often has good ideas and
can be very creative. He is a dreamer. He can be the calming in uence of the group and is good at
practicing mindfulness, even if he doesn't realize it.
He likes movies, music and video games.
He wears sneakers, jeans and a t-shirt.
His character is based on Fry from Futurama, but there is also something of Frodo in him.
Because when he wants, he can be fearless and sacri ce himself for something great.

Lyssa:
She is an ambitious woman who seeks adventure. She gets bored quickly and likes to take the
lead. She can be rash and overzealous, which sometimes overwhelms the rest of the team. But
without her, the team often wouldn't move forward either, tromping in the same place all day.
She often has no patience and still needs to learn to be mindful.
She likes climbing, swimming and taming tigers.
She wears boots, an olive green shirt and a hat.
Her character is a mix of Lara Croft and Indiana Jones.

Lex-O:
He is a robot dog who walks on his hind legs and basically carries concerns about everything. He
is good at supporting the team by researching and processing information. He is a walking
database that can do quick math. Unfortunately, that's where his great fear comes from, because
he calculates the greatest possible risk involved in every challenge. Therefore, he warns and

admonishes the team where he can. This can be exhausting sometimes, but he has saved the
team's ass many times!
Lex-O is gold-metallic and has a robot-dog face and human features.
His character is reminiscent of C3PO and Dobby from Harry Potter.

Next step:

I would like to have a 5 panel comic strip that I can use on my website to tell a little story. I would
also like to be able to use the panels individually to arrange them better on the website.

I have tried to describe the individual frames and still have a small picture attached, how I imagine
it approximately. This is only a suggestion. You can implement the ideas also di erently. But I
thought it would be a bit easier to show you roughly how I imagine it.

Frame 1:
A treasure map. Maybe with the 3 characters already on it, if it doesn't get too much.

Here you should get really curious about what will happen next. But it is also important that
through the font it is clear that it is about business workshops and coaching, so the font should
be very clear and distinct.

I also think the Duck Tales font is very cool.

In the middle it says:

Ani fantasizes in the o ce about how he, Lyssa and Lex-O will nd a treasure.

All three are sitting in the o ce and are bored or annoyed by their normal tasks.

Frame 4:
A mountain in the wilderness, based on my logo. You can see trees and the sky... maybe
some fog or a cloud. It looks adventurous, but not dangerous.
The look and atmosphere are reminiscent of Tomb Raider or Indiana Jones.

Frame 5:
The crew sets out on their rst expedition.

Vision:

I want this to be the rst of several comics. I want to use the three characters Ani, Lyssa & Lex-O
over and over again in my presentations, seminars and coaching sessions and send them on lots
and lots of adventures. I believe that it is important to tell good stories to motivate people, boost
their creativity and inspire them. But I also believe that it helps most people if they get a visual
support for what is being told and that they are then willing to embark on an expedition.
