Prof. Dr.

Rashid Ahmad

Prof. Dr. Rashid Ahmad completed Matriculation with Sc. Hygiene & Physiology, in
1951, F.Sc with Pre-engineering in 1953 and then B.A with Double Math(A & B), in
1958. He then obtained M.A. Mathematics degree in 1958, all from Punjab
University. After a gap of 11 years, he obtained a MSc Mathematics degree from
Queens University, Canada, in 1969. Finally he completed his PhD Mathematics in
1971, from the same University. His thesis was on Measure Theory.

Noor Muhammad

Noor Muhammad (15 April 1951 – 12 April 2004) was a notable Pakistani
mathematician and mathematics writer who made an original contribution
to the fields of C*-algebra, symmetric topology and pure mathematics.[1] He
was the chairman of Department of Mathematics, in which he assumed this
position in 2000 until 2002. He was a distinguished student of Russian
mathematician dr. Grigory Barenblatt, and made significant efforts to the
fields of topological algebras.
Dr. Prof. Riaz Ahsan

Dr. Prof. Riaz Ahsan (25 December 1951 – 8 September 2008) was
a Pakistani statistician and mathematician who has worked in applied
statistics, applied analysis, applications of special functions. He was a
noted professor of applied statistics in University of Karachi, Karachi.

Previously, he has served as the president of Sindh Professors and
Lecturers’ Association (SPLA).[2] Prof. Riaz Ahsan was born on 25 December
1951 and he died on 8 September 2008

Muhammad Raziuddin Siddiqui

Muhammad Raziuddin Siddiqui, FPAS, NI, HI, SI, PhD (Urdu: ‫محمد رضی الدین‬
‫صدیقی‬, [rəzɪ.ʊd̪ d̪ iːn sɪˈd̪ d̪ iːqi]; 8 January 1908 – 8 January 1998), also known
as Dr. Razi, was a Pakistani theoretical physicist and a mathematician who
played a role in Pakistan's education system and Pakistan's integrated
nuclear deterrent development.[2] An educationist and a scientist, Siddiqui had
established educational research institutes and universities in his country.
Arif Zaman

Arif Zaman, Ph.D., is a Pakistani mathematician, an academic scientist


and a professor emeritus of Statistics and Mathematics at Syed Babar Ali
School of Science and Engineering, Lahore University of Management
Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan. Before joining LUMS in 1994, he also served
