Reduction of adverb clauses to modifying adverbial phrases

To make reduction, the subjects of the two sentences should be the same.
Examples:

1. After we ate dinner, we went out for a walk.


After eating dinner, we went out for a walk.

2. While I was sitting in class, I fell asleep.


While sitting in class, I fell asleep.

3. While Ann was sitting in class, she fell asleep.


While sitting in class, Ann fell asleep.

4. Before I came to class, I had a cup of coffee.
