lenses diverse 3 lenses
from:
1948 Starting production of lenses with M42 screw mount
Victar 1969 = electric-Line: Some lenses were produced with electric diapragm control into the camera body
2,9 / 50 1971 =Pentacon-Line: Integration Meyer Görlitz into the "VEB Kombinat Pentacon". All Meyer lenses (except of Domiplan) were named "Pentacon"
1973 Only production of M42 screw mount lenses, with the exception of few Carl Zeiss Jena lenses with Exakta bayonet until 1979.
1979 =Prakticar-Line: All lenses with bayonet mount were named additional with "Prakticar"
Carl Zeiss Jena lenses only with "Prakticar" Meyer Görlitz lenses with "Pentacon Prakticar"
Meritar Some of these lenses were produced in diverse shorter time segments but within related time column, see notice "end of P prod." in the column.
2,9 / 50 Please note:
If the "electric-" or "Pentacon-" or "Prakticar-" line goes not through the time column, this lens was not existing in the "electric-" or "Pentacon-" or "Prakticar-"version.
If the line goes through the time column or if the lens is named with "el" or "P", this lens was existing as well as in this version.
If the lens is only named with "Prakticar" than it was existing only as "Prakticar". The additional name "auto" always stands for an automatic pressure diaphragm.
Bonotar The arrow shows always the direction of the further development from the lens
4,5 / 105
Some lenses were produced only for special cameras, these are registered. Other lenses were exisiting naturally also for these cameras (mostly for Exakta
from 1959 only for and Exa) if the time column is within the production time of these cameras.
cameras with Exa- The types (respectively the design principle) of lenses were mainly defined in consequence of the camera design, so as by :
mount or fix Pentina the : Meyer-Lydith 3,5/30 + Zeiss-Tessar 2,8/50 + Zeiss-Cardinar 2,8/85 + Meyer-Domigor 4/135.
mounted lenses Werra the : Zeiss-Flektogon 2,8 / 35 + Zeiss-Tessar 2,8 / 50 + Cardinar 4 / 100.
Altix the : Meyer-Lydith 3,5 / 30 + Meyer-Primagon 4,5 / 35 + Ludwig Meritar 2,9 / 50 or Zeiss-Tessar 2,8 / 50 or Meyer-Trioplan 2,9 / 50 + Telefogar 3,5 / 90
Exa the : lenses with max. 135 mm focal distance

Those grey areas symbolizes the start of production 1945 step by step and/or the partially takeover of pre-war existing design,
so as the end of production from 1990.

To get an exactly result of production time the best is to consider different of attributes (see notes "from app." ), because overlappings are possible.

Zeiss lenses were delivered for export into west-countries mainly named "T" (=Tessar) or "S" (=Sonnar) or "Bm" (=Biometar) because of rihgts to names.
x2 Meyer lenses were named from app.1971 only for west-export with "Pentaflex-autocolor" or "Auto-Revuenon 1,8/50" (=either Oreston 1,8/50 or Pentacon auto 1,8/50)
Conver- or "automatic-lens" or "Pentaflex color" or "Orestor 2,8/50" (=always Domiplan 2,8/50), and from 1985 (integration into the VEB Carl Zeiss Jena) "Carl Zeiss Jena P".
