Missoula, MT (December 24, 2023) – Shortly after 5:30 a.m. this morning, 911 Dispatched received
a call for a 20-year-old missing female, wearing a dark shirt and sweatshirt, near the 4 mile marker on
Mill Creek road. There was concern for the female’s wellbeing as she was not dressed for the early
morning cold.

Missoula County Sheriff’s Deputies immediately began a search of the area and made attempts to
contact other family and friends. Missoula County Search and Rescue was called out and 10
volunteer members responded to aid in the search.

Due to the location, coordination between Missoula County Sheriff’s Office and the Confederated
Salish and Kootenai Tribal Police, the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Fish and Game and Lake
County Sheriff’s Office was initiated.

The female was located at approximately 11:28 a.m. by a Lake County Sheriff’s Office Deputy.

Missoula County Sheriff’s Office extends its thanks and appreciation to all those who rapidly
responded and are thankful for the positive outcome.
