INTRODUCTION
I was born and raised in Old Chibolya, a
poor township notorious for violence in
Lusaka, Zambia. Open air drug dealing
is a common problem in this area.
Thievery is also the order of the day.
By the grace of God, I got saved at 9,
and at 10 I received God’s call into the
ministry.
Our ministry, Kalos Christian Church
(KCC), started in this same place.
One day in December, 2013, when our
ministry was 6 months old, I got tired of
wearing oversized suits for church
meetings. I decided to lock myself up in
my room, resolving to pray until
something happened.
When I opened my mouth to ask God
for money, the Lord said to me "1
Corinthians 3:21". I got my Bible and
read what it says: “Therefore let no man
glory in men. For all things are yours"
When the right keys are delivered into
your hands, it ends the need to knock on
doors, or to try to breakthrough, all you
have to do is use the key and enter.
Luke 11:52 talks about the key of
knowledge. That’s exactly what God
was about to deliver into my hands that
day.
“ALL things ARE yours” He said.
"If all things are mine, it means the
money I need to buy a new suit and
shoes is mine, and if it is mine, then
why am I asking God to give me what
He has already given me?" I thought.
I then reasoned, “If all the money that
I need right now is mine, then I can
command it to come to me and it will
obey me."
I put my Bible down and quickly got
up from my bed. I commanded,
"Money, the word says you are mine, I
believe the word, and therefore, I
command you to come to me in Jesus’
Name."
"Good, but which currency are you
calling for?" The Lord interrupted me.
I didn't think of that. I didn't even
know that my faith needed to be
specific in its decree. Well, I thought
"If all things are mine, let me go for
something I have never handled
before." I decided to call for money in
US dollars.
The whole day that day I meditated on
1 Corinthians 3:21. And although there
was no outward change, I could tell
that something was happening inside
me, so I wasn’t moved. It is
impossible for circumstances to move
a person who is moved by the word of
God.
Day two came, I said again, "Money,
come to me in dollars."
And the Lord said to me, "You need to
move from ‘come' to 'you are coming'
that proves you believe that what you
said yesterday is working today. " So I
started celebrating and confessing
"Money is coming to me in dollars." I
did that the whole day that day. I could
almost hear the devil laughing at me,
but I didn’t pay any attention to him.
Faith is deaf to every voice that is
contrary to the word, and blind to
every appearance that doesn’t confirm
what the word says.
The third day came. I woke up and
started confessing "Money is coming to
me in dollars. Thank you Jesus."
The Lord said, "Now, you've got to
move from 'it is coming' to 'it has come
', say it, and see it as though it is
already in your hands."
I jumped out of bed and started
thanking God for giving me money in
dollars. I pictured myself going into
town to buy a new suit and shoes. I
saw myself preaching in a black suit
and some nice black smart shoes. I
imagined my members asking me how
it all happened, and I saw myself
explaining to them the things God
taught me. I was so happy. I praised
God even more as I imagined these
things.
Before the end of day three, the
miracle happened. A Facebook friend
of mine from Singapore wrote to me,
"Hey Pastor Jack, your daily posts
bless me, I'd like to send you
something to appreciate you;I'd like to
send to you some dollars, am kindly
asking for your details." And that's
how she sent me $300.
I don't even know this woman or how
she looks like only that she was my FB
friend. Her profile picture only had
flowers, and that's the only photo she
had uploaded. Needless to say, I was
so overwhelmed with joy. I shouted
“The word works! The word works!
Look at me, it has worked for me!" as I
danced in my room.
11 months later, I worked the word to
get money for church instruments and
a venue that was about four times
bigger than the one we were using.
I knew that If I waited for the givings
of the church to grow before we could
buy instruments and move into a more
decent venue, it was going to take
some time. Real faith doesn’t wait for
things to happen; it makes things
happen.
This time, in addition to the things I
learnt in December, 2013, the Lord
asked me to give my last money.
When God tells you to give, never
hesitate – He is trying to get something
to you, not take something away from
you.
The money I gave that day was $5, it
was the last money I had on me, but
inside me I had all things. Hallelujah!
I gave what I had on me to release
some of the money that I have in me.
God honored my faith and the same
day I received $1000 from Singapore,
during the week $550 from someone in
Australia, within three weeks, $100
from someone in Cameroon, $100
from Ghana, and NGN 10,000 from
Nigeria. That’s how we got all the
instruments we needed and moved the
church into a bigger and better venue.
Glory be to God! The word works!
The Bible says, “Now he that
ministereth seed to the sower both
minister bread for your food, and
multiply your seed sown, and increase
the fruits of your righteousness;
being enriched in everything…” (2
Corinthians 9:10-11). I sowed my seed
and God multiplied it back to me.
Hallelujah! The word works!
My life has been an endless flow of the
supernatural, I know that yours too
will take after the same order. In this
book are keys for your next level. Our
ministry is now in a building that can
sits one thousand people. We’ll soon
be having three services. We are
literally winning hundreds of souls
every month and some months more
than a thousand. Soon we will start
reaching millions for Christ. We have
not yet arrived; we are about to get
started.
As you read and apply the word in this
Book, you too will experience the
miracle power of God. You too will
shout and dance, "The word works!
The word works! Look at me, it has
worked for me!"
Part 1: THE NEED TO
“WORK IT OUT”
1
“…WORK OUT..."
"Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have
always obeyed, not as in my presence
only, but now much more in my
absence, WORK OUT your own
salvation with fear and trembling."
Philippians 2:12
SALVATION is a word that
encapsulates all that the death, burial,
and resurrection of Jesus Christ
consummated, made possible and
available to both sinners and saints.
In salvation, we have everything we
require for life and godliness, we have
righteousness, holiness, fruitfulness,
freedom, preservation, promotion,
prosperity, health, peace, victory,
success, the extraordinary life of
blessings, etc.
All of God's provisions for humanity
are packaged in salvation. When a
person receives salvation, he receives a
full package of God's provisions and
blessings. This package is placed
inside his heart.
The Bible says to those who have
received salvation:
“Therefore let no man glory in men.
For all things are yours” 1
Corinthians 3:21
“According as his divine power hath
given unto us all things that pertain
unto life and godliness, through the
knowledge of him that hath called us to
glory and virtue” 2 Peter 1:3
“For the Holy Spirit makes God’s
fatherhood real to us as he whispers
into our innermost being, “you are
God’s beloved child!” And since we
are his true children, we qualify to
share all his treasures, for indeed, we
are heirs of God himself. And since we
are joined to Christ, we also inherit all
that he is and all that he has. We
experience being co-glorified with him
provided that we accept his sufferings
as our own.” Romans 8:16-17, TPT
You might say “This, can’t be” Paul
says "why not?" “He that spared not
his own Son, but delivered him up for
us all, how shall he not with him also
freely give us all things?” (Romans
8:32).
We can see from all these Scriptures
that God has already done what He
needed to do for you to have and enjoy
a glorious life.
However, for you to enjoy His
amazing blessings, you need to work
them out. “…WORK OUT your own
salvation with fear and trembling."
(Philippians 2:12).
You are the one to ensure you unpack
and enjoy all that was packaged in
your salvation. WORK OUT Your
healing, if you are sick. WORK OUT
your prosperity, if you are in lack.
WORK OUT wisdom, if you need
more of it. WORK OUT your
ministry and calling. Whatever miracle
you want to experience from God –
WORK IT OUT!
2
IT WILL ONLY WORK,
WHEN YOU WORK IT!
The Lord Jesus, facing a man who was
born blind said to His disciples, “I
must work the works of him that sent
me…” (John 9:10). He knew He had to
do something or nothing was going to
happen.
In John 5:19, He said, “…verily,
verily, I say unto you, The Son can do
nothing of himself, but what he seeth
the Father do: for what things soever
he doeth, these also doeth the Son
likewise.” The Father did the work in
the spirit, Jesus saw it, and worked it
out in the natural.
Now, it is your turn to work what Jesus
has worked. Jesus said on the cross “it
is finished” (John 19:30). If it is
finished, then all that is left is for you
to WORK IT OUT.
It can’t fail to work when you work it
because it already worked. He worked
it in you, now WORK IT OUT into
your life.
By the grace of God, we have seen
many kinds of miracles in our
ministry. We literally see miracles
everyday via social media, in our
services, and also through our daily
devotional, GRACE & TRUTH. One
miracle that illustrates the need to
WORK IT OUT, happened in 2014.
What happened was this:
Some people brought a woman who
was in a coma. I laid hands on her and
command her to wake up in Jesus’
Name. After some few hours, she
woke up, and said her good byes to her
mother and the relatives that brought
her, and then died.
My mother said to me, “You can’t be
bringing people to die at my house.” I
nodded in agreement, before rushing
outside where her relatives were
mourning and the mother was holding
her in her hands. “she is gone” she
said. My heart burned with
compassion within me like holy flames
of fire. I said with a loud voice, “In
the Name of Jesus, woman, your life is
in you.” And she gasped and came
back to life. Glory to God!
But we still had a problem: though her
vital signs were restored, she still
wasn’t conscious. So i went back to
my room to talk to the Lord about it,
“Lord, why isn’t she waking up? It will
magnify your word and your Name if
she wakes up now. But why is this
miracle taking long to happen?”
The Lord answered me, “You have not
allowed her to wake up. That’s why.”
“How Lord? I’ve been commanding
and expecting her to wake up. I’ve
even told the people that she is going
to wake up.” I replied.
“That’s the problem, until you believe
that she has woken up, until you see
her awake and well in your spirit, my
power can’t make it so in the flesh.”
He said.
What He was saying was, “unless you
work it, it won’t work; unless your
faith gets the victory that Jesus
accomplished for her on that cross and
deliver it to her, she won’t wake up.” I
got it!
I went back to where the people were,
and with joy I announced, “You can go
home now, she is well.”
Of course, they looked disappointed.
They had come at 9Am and this was
now 5Pm, the only thing that happened
was that their daughter had become
conscious for some few seconds before
she died. Thank God she was brought
back to life, but she is still
unconscious. What could they do?
They had no choice but to carry her
home with them.
I knew in my spirit that it was done. I
praised God for the miracle with so
much joy as though she was already
conscious and doing well.
Well, the moment they reached home,
the young woman sat up and asked for
something to eat, and she has been
well ever since. Praise God! The word
works when we work it!
What do you want to see in your life?
It is already in you, you just need to
WORK IT OUT!
3
“WORK IT OUT” NOT
“WORK FOR IT”
“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have
always obeyed, not as in my presence
only, but now much more in my
absence, WORK OUT YOUR OWN
SALVATION with fear and
trembling.” Philippians 2:12
On the surface, it can seem like a
strange instruction.
“Work out my salvation? I thought
Jesus paid for all my sins and that I
don’t have to do any good works to
earn my salvation.” You might think.
He didn’t say “work for” your
salvation, salvation is a free gift of
grace, “For by grace are ye saved
through faith; and not of yourselves: it
is the gift of God: not of work, lest
any man should boast.” (Ephesians
2:8-9).
He said “work out” your own
salvation, that is to say, God has
worked it into you now acknowledge it
and make it evident. “That the
communication of thy faith may
become effectual by the
acknowledging of every good thing
which is in you in Christ Jesus.”
(Philemon 6).
Everyone is responsible for working
out their own salvation, and we are to
do it with fear and trembling. We are
to bring forth fruit worthy of salvation.
(Matthew 3:8).
We were not saved by our good works,
but we were saved to do good works.
“For we are God’s [own] handiwork
(His workmanship), recreated in
Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may
do those good works…” (Ephesians
2:10, AMPC).
We were not saved by our righteous
works, but we are saved to do
righteous things. (James 1:20).
Those who are saved shouldn’t live
like they need to be saved again. We
need to live like we have really been
saved. We have to put behind every
sin, limitation, sickness, lack, and
curse and walk in righteousness, and
endless possibilities. We need to make
this salvation which is in us work for
us.
It must show in our character that we
are saved. It must reflect in the way we
live, and in our drive to win the lost for
Christ that we are His.
I believe in fasting, but not as a means
to merit anything from God, rather, but
as something to help me work out what
God has worked into me, and
something to enhance my relationship
with God and my ability to hear from
Him. Really, I don’t think there is
anything that we can do to improve the
finished works of Christ. What is
finished is finished.
The people who think God will hear
them because of the number of days
they stay without eating, are missing it.
Those who think they will find power
on a prayer mountain somewhere, are
looking for what God has already
given them. All they need to do is
learn how to WORK IT OUT and
they’d be walking in power.
I used to preach the Gospel at Lusaka
City Market, every week, Monday to
Friday, I did that for two years (from
2013 to the end of 2014), until the
demands of church ministry couldn’t
allow me to continue winning souls
there.
One day, I was praying and meditating
on the word before a meeting when the
Lord showed me from the Scriptures
how sick people will start getting
healed during the ministration of the
word. He had told me about this
manifestation back in April, 2012,
when I was still in Swaziland, and I
had experienced part of its
manifestation in a meeting where 30
people were healed while listening to
me preach. Though I prayed and fasted
for this manifestation to continue, I
couldn’t sustain it because I didn’t
have the needed revelation to turn it on
at will. That day before the meeting, I
got the revelation, and boy that
changed the course of my life and
ministry!
After preaching in City Market that
day, I asked all those who were sick to
check themselves, and all 5 people
who had come sick for this meeting
were instantly healed. Since that day,
we have seen literally, thousands
healed while listening to me preach,
including growths disappearing, new
teeth appearing, supernatural weight
loss, deaf ears being unstopped, blind
eyes opening, just to mention a few.
I said all that to say this: if you can
only learn how to WORK IT OUT,
you will see it work. You don’t have to
WORK FOR IT. It has already been
worked into you.
4
HE IS IN YOU, TO WORK
IT THROUGH YOU
“Therefore, my beloved, as you have
always obeyed, not as in my presence
only, but now much more in my
absence, work out your own salvation
with fear and trembling; for it is God
who works in you both to will and to
do for His good pleasure.” Philippians
2:12-13
That means both the willingness and
the drive to live a godly life, and to
enjoy all that Jesus paid for you comes
from the Lord. You are not
WORKING IT OUT all by yourself,
He is in you to do it through you.
Therefore, act your salvation with joy,
put it to work, and make it evident
everywhere you go.
Make your righteousness in Christ,
evident.
Make your dominion over devils show.
Make your love for the lost palpable.
Make circumstances bow to the Christ
in you.
Work out your healing!
Work out your prosperity!
Work out the fruit of the spirit!
The reason why things are not working
out for some of God’s people is
because they are too lazy to make them
work; they are waiting for someone to
come and work them out for them.
They are literally poor, miserable and
dying because of laziness.
The question is not, “What has
salvation done for you?” The question
is, “What have you done with your
salvation?” Many Christians hate
responsibility. Beloved, we’ve been
called to a life of rest, not to a life of
laziness.
Those who are lazy can’t enjoy God’s
rest. Hebrews 4:10, 11, says, “For he
that is entered into his rest, he also
hath ceased from his own works, as
God did from his. Let us labour
therefore to enter into that rest, lest
any man fall after the same example of
unbelief.”
How do you labor to enter God’s rest?
By believing in the finished works of
Christ, and acting like they are indeed
finished: “For we which have believed
do enter into rest…” (Hebrews 4:3).
You need to labor to believe. You
won’t believe by chance. You need to
deliberately listen to the word that
talks about the manifestation you seek
to experience, and you need to listen to
that message over and over again until
faith comes.
People who expect a miracle without
getting the word are like a woman who
goes to the labor room expecting to
push and deliver a child she never
carried. Labor to get pregnant with the
word first then you will be able to
deliver what it talks about next!
If God can get His word to prevail
over your thoughts and dominate your
heart, He can get you to experience
what it talks about.
A woman came to see me at my office
one time, she said she wanted God to
bless her with a child. When I asked
her to tell me what God says about her
situation, she was completely blank.
She had been barren for 8 years and
had gone to many places for prayer but
had not gone to any place in the word.
I told her, “The word is seed, prayer is
water, and your heart is the ground.
Watering a ground where no seed is
won’t produce any harvest no matter
how consist and how long you water
it...”
So many Christians are like this
woman; they think all they need is
prayer or someone to pray for them.
But Jesus said, “If…my words abide
in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it
shall be done unto you.” (John 15:7).
If you are serious about results, go for
the word – let it inform, empower, and
direct your prayers.
Understand that He can’t WORK IT
THROUGH YOU, if He doesn’t get
His word into you. “…He who
supplies you with His marvelous
[Holy] Spirit and works powerfully
and miraculously among you does
so…because of your believing in and
adhering to and trusting in and
relying on the message that you
heard…” (Galatians 3:5, AMPC).
5
YOU’VE ALREADY GOT
IT!
“Therefore let no man glory in men.
For all things are yours; whether
Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the
world, or life, or death, or things
present, or things to come; all are
yours; And ye are Christ’s; and Christ
is God’s.” 1 Corinthians 3:21-23
God has already given you everything,
quit trying to get anything.

You are not supposed to pursue things;

you are supposed to attract what you
want by working it out from within
you.
Whatever you need right now will
come through you, that’s why you
need to WORK IT OUT, because it is
already in you.
If you don’t understand that it is
already in you, you don’t know how
God works. The Bible says, “He hath
made everything beautiful in his time:
also he hath set the world in their
heart, so that no man can find out the
work that God maketh from the
beginning to the end.” (Ecclesiastes
3:11).
The whole world is in you. All the
works of God from the beginning to
the end are in you. If you look outside,
you will miss the supernatural. The
supernatural is within you.
God can’t get anything to you except
He gets it from the deposit He placed
in you. Did you know that, that is
exactly how Satan works also? Jesus
said, “Hereafter I will not talk much
with you: for the prince of this world
cometh, and hath nothing in me.”
(John 14:30).
What He means is that, Satan can’t do
anything to you if he has nothing in
you that belongs to him. That’s why
John said, “We know that whosoever is
born of God sinneth not; but he that is
begotten of God keepeth himself, and
that wicked one toucheth him not.” (1
John 5:18). If there is sin in your life,
the wicked one will touch you. But if
you keep yourself from sin, he can’t
touch you. Praise God!
John 3:27 says, “…a man can receive
nothing, except it be given him from
heaven.” We all know that nothing
physically drops down from heaven, so
how does heaven get anything to you?
Simple, by getting it into your heart,
and then from your heart.
What your heart has not received your
hands cannot handle.
Talking about your heart, the Bible
says, “…that’s where life starts.”
(Proverbs 4:23, MSG). Your healing,
progress, miracle, supply and
everything you require for life, will
come from there.
Am sure you can now see that your
supply doesn’t depend on your
circumstances, it depends on the
condition of your heart and mind.
You don’t lack anything but the
conscious realization that you already
have what you need.
Quit trying to win God’s approval and
acceptance – you already have it: “To
the praise of the glory of his grace,
wherein he hath made us accepted in
the beloved.” (Ephesians 1:6).
Stop praying for more power – There
is more than enough power in you to
raise everyone who has ever died from
since the foundation of the world;
certainly it is more than enough for
whatever miracle you will ever require
for yourself and for others. “Now unto
him that is able to do exceeding
abundantly above all that we ask or
think, according to the power that
worketh in us” (Ephesians 3:20).
Don’t beg God for wisdom – Christ is
your wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:30). All
of God’s wisdom has already been
worked into you: “Wherein he hath
abounded toward us in all wisdom
and prudence; having made known
unto us the mystery of his will”
(Ephesians 1:8,9).
God is not going to give you power
over sin, He already did that, that
power is inside you right now. “…sin
shall not have dominion over you: for
ye are not under the law, but under
grace.” (Romans 6:14).
Don’t pray for deliverance, you’ve
already got it! God “…has delivered
us from the power of darkness and
conveyed us into the kingdom of the
Son of His love” (Colossians 1:13,
NKJV).
You don’t need to break any chains of
bondage, you are neither in chains nor
in bondage, you are simply in
ignorance. When you get the
knowledge of the truth, you’ll see that
you are a free person in Christ. “Christ
has set us free! This means we are
really free…” (Galatians 5:1).
Stop praying for healing, and WORK
IT OUT! “…by whose stripes ye were
healed” (1 Peter 2:24). It says “ye
were” healed, and not “you will be
healed” – it already happened!
God is not about to break your curses
and bring His blessings to you, He
already did that, you’ve already been
blessed with every blessing that exist.
You will be surprised to know that
God doesn’t have any more blessing to
give to you, because He has already
given you every single one of His
blessings. “Every spiritual blessing in
the heavenly realm has already been
lavished upon us as a love gift from
our wonderful heavenly Father…”
(Ephesians 1:3, TPT). “So then they
which be of faith are blessed with
faithful Abraham.” (Galatians 3:9).
We “will” not be blessed, we “are”
already blessed.
Your prosperity is not coming, it came
when you got born again, it is inside
you. “For ye know the grace of our
Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was
rich, yet for your sakes he became
poor, that ye through his poverty
might be rich.” (2 Corinthians 8:9).
Jesus was made poor then. You have
been made rich now.
You lack nothing, everything you need
is already yours, MAKE IT WORK!
(Romans 8:32;1 Corinthians 3:21-23).
Whatever your need for your
happiness is in you, MAKE IT
WORK! (2 Peter 1:3).
To work something out is to prove it to
be true. When we work out a math
problem, we aren’t fundamentally
changing the answer. Two plus two
always equals four. When we do the
equation, we are simply proving that
two plus two equals four. Salvation is
in you, prove that indeed you have it
by demonstrating it.
You’ve already got it, now make it
work!
Part 2: HOW TO
“WORK IT OUT”
1.
THE AWARENESS OF
THE SPIRIT – Unless You Know
You’ve Got It, You Can’t Enjoy It
“And we have received God’s Spirit
(not the world’s spirit), so we can
know the wonderful things God has
freely given us.” 1 Corinthians 2:12,
NLT

The Greek word translated “know” in

the above Scripture is “eido.” It
means, “to become conscious or
aware.”
Part of the Holy Spirit’s work in your
life is to make you aware of what God
has given you. He is the administrator
of God’s will. Without the Holy Spirit
you will never know what is yours,
and if you don’t know what is yours,
how can you utilize or enjoy it?
Proverbs 11:9 says that it is through
knowledge that the righteous are
delivered into their heritage.
2 Peter 1:3 says that God has given us
everything we need for life and
godliness, but how does it manifest
into our lives? The answer is right in
the same verse, “…through the
knowledge of him that hath called us to
glory and virtue”
If you are ignorant, you are not yet
ready for what is yours. Even though
you are an heir of all things, there will
be no difference between you and a
slave. “Think of it this way. If a father
dies and leaves an inheritance for his
young children, those children are not
much better off than slaves until they
grow up, even though they actually
own everything their father had.”
(Galatians 4:1, NLT).
You need to grow into your
inheritance. Until the Spirit builds you
through the word to know what is
yours, you can’t take possession of it.
That’s why Acts 20:32, says, “And
now, brethren, I commend you to God,
and to the word of his grace, which is
able to build you up, and to give you
an inheritance among all them which
are sanctified.”

The word needs to build you up

mentality, emotionally and spiritually
before it can usher you into what God
has prepared for you. So give yourself
to the word and to the ministry of the
Spirit.
God has already given us wonderful
things, and as we read His word, His
Spirit lets us know that they are ours in
the now. He lets us know that the
money we need to take God’s work
forward is not in the future, it is in the
here and now. He lets us know that
healing is not coming to us, it is
already in us. He lets us know that we
have everything we need to be joyful
and happy all the time.
It was the Holy Spirit who directed me
to 1 Corinthians 3:21 and showed me
that God had already given me the
money that I needed at that time.
Without the Holy Spirit, we can never
know what is ours.
Until you become aware of what God
has given you, you will live as though
you don’t have it. Have you ever found
yourself looking for your phone and
yet you were holding it in your hand?
That’s what is happening to many
Christians today, they are looking,
praying and fasting for what they
already have – they need the Holy
Spirit to tell them, “Hey, you’ve
already got it, look; it’s yours
already.”

THE MIND OF
TRUTH – To Possess
Your Possessions, You Must
Be Possessed By The Word
“Sanctify them through thy truth, thy
word is truth.” John 17:17
The word of God is truth. Truth is like
lotion; it doesn’t work unless applied.
You need to have it and apply it for it
to beautify your life.
To “sanctify” is to “consecrate or
separate.” God’s word has the ability
to separate you from sin, sickness,
limitations, lack, frustration and any
form of satanic oppression, and keep it
from ever having dominion over you.
But before it can work in your life, it
needs to work in your mind and heart.
Acts 19:20 says, “So mightily grew the
word of God and prevailed.” It first
grew before it prevailed. It must first
grow in your mind and heart before it
can prevail in the circumstances of
your life.
THE AWARENESS OF THE
SPIRIT we talked about in the
previous chapter should bring you to a
place where God’s word can possess
your mind.
You can’t be thinking, “I have it” and
at the same time you are thinking,
“God, please give it to me”, the Bible
says that if you think like that, you
won’t get anything (James 1:6-8). You
need to be single minded. You need to
be word minded.
You need to be so possessed by the
word that you are conscious of nothing
else but the word and what it talks
about.
Allow your mind to be renewed by the
word, and your life will conform to the
truth it talks about. When you begin to
think like the man in the word, you
cannot look like the man in the world –
unhappy, sick, poor, oppressed and
hopeless. No! You will be
“…transformed by the renewing of
your mind…” (Romans 12:2).
When your mind and heart is full of
God’s word, you are free – nothing
and no one can bind you, nothing and
no one can limit you: “And ye shall
know the truth, and the truth shall
make you free.” (John 8:32).
Colossians 3:16, says, “Let the word
of Christ dwell in you richly…” That
means you need to have a rich deposit
of the word. If the word doesn’t dwell
in you richly, it won’t be able to do
much in your life.
To get a rich deposit of the word into
your heart, you need to meditate on the
word day and night.
I remember one time I meditated on 1
John 4:4 every day and night for one
month, I usually do that with many
Scriptures. This Scripture says, “Ye
are of God, little children, and have
overcome them: because greater is he
that is in you, than he that is in the
world.”
I didn’t know how much this word had
possessed me until I got attacked by
four thieves in Johannesburg on my
way back to Zambia. They got all my
luggage, and books. One of them
threatened, “Give us your money, all
else we will kill you!”
I don’t know, I just found myself
laughing. “Kill me?” I said. “I know
you are hungry and want money, but
this is not how to get money. And don’t
even say you are going to kill me,
because you can do no such thing to
me!”
Prior to this time, I had heard so much
about thieves in J’burg, and how that
they even kill their victims. I was
amazed that I was talking to these
thieves like this without any ounce of
fear in my heart.
While I was talking to them, I asked
the Holy Spirit If I could command
blindness on them like Paul did on
Elymas in Acts 13, but the Spirit spoke
so gently, “Just give them R100, and
go”
When I gave them the money, I
noticed that they needed to give me
R10 change for I had given them
R110, one R50 and three R2os, and yet
the Spirit said “Give them R100”. So I
said to them, “I am supposed to give
you R100, give me R10 change.” They
looked at each other, and gave me
back the R10. That’s how I got my
things and left.
I noticed that they were all under the
influence of the Spirit of God, and I
was in command of the situation
because I was possessed by 1 John 4:4.
Altogether, I have had 13 similar
encounters with thieves, and all of
them are amazing testimonies of the
authority of God’s word. This is what
happens when you so possess the word
to the point that it takes over all your
faculties – you begin to exude its
authority and power naturally and
without stress.
Mediate on the word. Don’t read it like
you are reading a newspaper.
Meditate! Eat it! Digest it! “Thy words
were found, and I did eat them; and
thy word was unto me the joy and
rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called
by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.”
(Jeremiah 51:16).
Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he
thinketh in his heart, so is he…” If
you think you are sick, so are you. If
you think you are healed, so are you. If
you think you are poor, so are you. If
you think you are rich, so are you…
Change your thoughts, change your
life. Change what you are thinking,
and what you are experiencing will
automatically change.
Trying to receive a miracle with a
mind that thinks “it won’t happen” is
like trying to save a 50gb file in a 2gb
flash drive, it just won’t work.
Those who work miracles, think
miracles.
Those who experience miracles, think
miracles.
The Bible says, “Meditate upon these
things; give thyself wholly to them;
that thy profiting may appear to all.”
(1 Timothy 4:15). Your profiting from
the salvation package that has been
delivered and deposited in you will not
appear to all men if you don’t meditate
upon the word of truth and give
yourself wholly to what it says.
It is time for your miracle to appear –
meditate until you possess THE
MIND OF TRUTH!
3
THE EYES OF FAITH – What
You Don’t See, You Can’t Get
“I will stand upon my watch, and set
me upon the tower, and will watch to
see what he will say unto me…the
just shall live by his faith.” Habakkuk
2:1, 4
Hearing is not enough, you need to see
what the word says. Until you see it,
you are not ready for its manifestation.
It is the word you’ve seen well that
God will hasten to perform: “…thou
hast well seen: for I will hasten my
word to perform it.” (Jeremiah 1:12).
Even though you’ve been called to
“…walk in newness of life.” (Romans
6:4), that won’t happen until you
“…behold, all things are become
new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
As long as you are still beholding your
past, curses, sins and limitations, you
will keep experiencing the same even
though they have all passed away.
“…if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new.” (2
Corinthians 5:17).
John 12:40 says that healing is
automatic when
1. The eyes see the word
2. The heart believes it.
3. And understands it
4. You are “converted”, that is, won to
the side of the word, changed and
possessed by the word.
“He hath blinded their eyes, and
hardned their heart; that they should
not see with their eyes, nor
understand with their heart, and be
converted, and I should heal them.”
(John 12:40).
It is not enough to hear the word; you
need to see it. Look at this other
scripture: “My son, attend to my
words; incline thine ear unto my
sayings. Let them not depart from
thine eyes; keep them in the midst of
thine heart. For they are life unto
those that find them, and health to all
their flesh.” (Proverbs 4:20-22).
We see here, that, before the word can
become life to your marriage, ministry,
finances or any other facet of your
existence; before it can become health
to your broken body, you need to 1.
Listen attentively to what it says. 2.
You need to see what it says (picture
yourself experiencing it). 3. You need
to keep hearing and seeing it – it
shouldn’t depart from your heart.
Fulfil these three basic requirements,
there is no miracle you cannot
experience from God.
It is as when the word we are hearing
becomes the picture and imagination
we are seeing that we are changed into
what it talks about: “…beholding as in
a glass (mirror) the glory of the Lord
(the word of truth), are changed into
the same image from glory to glory,
even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2
Corinthians 3:18, Parenthesis Mine).
God told Abraham to look with his
eyes of faith, “…northward, and
southward, and eastward, and
westward”, saying, “For all the land
which thou seest, to thee will I give
it…” (Genesis 13:14, 15). Romans
4:13 shows us that by faith, Abraham
was given the whole world, why?
Because that’s what he saw that day
with his EYES OF FAITH. “For the
promise, that he should be heir of the
world, was not to Abraham, or to his
seed, through the law, but through the
righteousness of faith.” (Romans
4:13).
What you don’t see with your EYES
OF FAITH you won’t experience.
2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “For we walk
by faith, not by sight.” Showing us that
faith isn’t moved by the physical
senses, it has its own sight. “For our
light affliction, which is but for a
moment, worketh for us a far more
exceeding and eternal weight of glory”
How? How do we make what we are
going through work glory for us?
“While we look not at the things
which are seen, but at the things
which are not seen: for the things
which are seen are temporal; but the
things which are not seen are eternal.”
(2 Corinthians 4:17, 18).
How do we look at the unseen?
Through faith. If you can get yourself
to do that, the things which are seen
will give way to the invisible things
you are seeing with your EYES OF
FAITH.
There was a time I needed a lot of
money for something. I knew God had
already given it to me according to 1
Corinthians 3:21, but it hadn’t yet
manifested. To work it out, I decided
to go on a fast, not to ask God to give
it to me, but to get me to receive it.
During those days of fasting I’d read
every Scripture that showed me that
God had given me what I wanted. I got
a book were I would write, “God has
given me K150,000 according to 1
Corinthians 3:21-23”, after writing it
down, I’d imagine myself counting it
in my hands, then say it, and repeat the
same thing until the 80-page book was
full. Sometimes I’d do it the whole
night without sleeping. My wife and I
sowed about K15, 000 for it. I told her
that “if God has given it to us, we must
give like we have it.” And in no time,
it manifested.
A woman did the same thing and
received healing from Cancer of the
nose. She kept reading 1 Peter 2:24,
writing, imagining and confessing “By
the stripes of Jesus, I was healed of
Cancer. I don’t have it; Jesus took it
away.” The cancer vanished within
two weeks before she could even
finish writing in her book.
Genesis 11:6 says that if you imagine
something, it can’t be kept from you,
“…nothing will be restrained from
them, which they have imagined to
do.”
When you possess THE MIND OF
TRUTH, no lie from Satan or from
circumstances can move you. When
you see the truth in your imagination,
its manifestation can’t be restrained
from you.
When you look at Jesus, your heart
will receive faith, and when you keep
your eyes on Him, He will reward your
faith with results: “Looking unto
Jesus the author and finisher of our
faith…for consider him…lest ye be
wearied and faint in your minds.”
(Hebrews 12:3, 4).
Put this to work, and it will work
wonders for you.
4
THE JOY OF FAITH – what
Doesn’t Excite You, Can’t Bless You
“Therefore with joy shall ye draw
water out of the wells of salvation.”
Isaiah 12:3
Without joy you can’t draw from the
wells of salvation. You need joy to
draw.
THE MIND OF TRUTH brings faith,
“So then faith cometh by hearing,
and hearing by the word of God.”
(Romans 10:17)
And faith brings joy to your heart. The
Bible talks about the “…joy of faith”
(Philippians 2:17). Where there is faith
there is joy. Joy is the signature of
faith.
One of the principles in the word of
God that guarantees a supernatural
flow of finances is giving. Not many
Christians are excited to give, as they
are to receive; meanwhile, cheerful
giving is what makes the Christian
draw from the well of abundance. 2
Corinthians 9:8 gives us a clear insight
about the blessedness of the giver. It
says, “And God is able to make all
grace (every favor and earthly
blessing) come to you in abundance, so
that you may always and under all
circumstances and whatever the need
be self-sufficient [possessing enough to
require no aid or support and
furnished in abundance for every good
work and charitable donation]”
(AMP). The previous verse says,
“…God loves (He takes pleasure in,
prizes above other things, and is
unwilling to abandon or to do without)
a cheerful (joyous, prompt to do it)
giver [whose heart is in his giving].”
Those who give without receiving are
usually those who give below their
ability, or give big they but not
joyfully. “Whatever you give is
acceptable if you give it eagerly. And
give according to what you have…”
(2 Corinthians 8:12, NLT).
Confessions of faith that are not made
with joy don’t work.
Nothing works in the kingdom without
the joy of faith. That is why James
said, “My brethren, count it all joy
when ye fall into divers temptations”
(James 1:2). If you are joyful you can
come out of any situation.
One of the things God taught me to
practice when He was training me to
hear His voice was to be joyful always.
I found that the more I expressed joy,
the more revelations I received.
In church, you will notice that it is
those who respond to the word with
joyful “amens” and “hallelujahs” that
keep testifying.
What doesn’t excite you can’t bless
you!
Those who don’t give the word a
joyful-response are like people who go
to a well to fetch water without
anything to use to draw the water out
from the well. They always go back
with nothing.
The word must rejoice your heart
before it can rejoice your life. “Thy
words were found, and I did eat them;
and thy word was unto me the joy and
rejoicing of mine heart: for I am
called by thy name, O Lord God of
hosts.” (Jeremiah 51:16).
“I rejoice at thy word, as one that
findeth great spoil.” (Psalm 119:162).
Until this becomes the description of
your attitude toward the word, you are
not yet a candidate of supernatural
manifestations.
It is THE JOY OF FAITH that will
cause you to draw whatever you need
from the wells God has placed within
you.
Sadness will keep you from drawing.
That’s why the enemy eagerly seeks to
steal your joy, he knows you can’t do
much without it.
Never be sad, and you will never be
stranded again!
Lose your joy and you can’t keep your
miracle.
Never behave according to what you
are going through, always behave
according to what is at work in you.
“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again
I say, Rejoice.” (Philippians 4:4).
When you have no confidence in the
flesh, you’ll have joy in Christ Jesus:
“For we are the circumcision, which
worship God in the spirit, and rejoice
in Christ Jesus, and have no
confidence in the flesh.” (Philippians
3:3).
4
THE SPIRIT OF FAITH –
If You Don’t Say It, You Won’t Get It
“Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith
the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine
ears, so will I do to you.” Numbers
14:28

THE JOY OF FAITH gives you an

attitude. Paul calls it “THE SPIRIT
OF FAITH” this is a believing
attitude that is expressed in bold,
joyful confessions of faith. “We
having the same spirit of faith,
according as it is written, I believed,
and therefore have I spoken; we also
believe, and therefore speak” (2
Corinthians 4:13).
The believing on the inside and the
speaking forth on the outside is the
conquering power of faith that brings
circumstances in the world to their
knees. “…the conquering power that
brings the world to its knees is our
faith…” (1 John 5:4, MSG).
When you speak what you believe,
Jesus said, you will have it: “For
verily I say unto you, That whosoever
shall say…and shall not doubt in his
heart, but shall believe that those
things which he saith shall come to
pass; he shall have whatsoever he
saith.” (Mark 11:23).
Even in the negative realm, the
negative supernatural – the satanic
world, they use the principle of saying
what they believe with joy and
boldness because it is a spiritual
principle.
God has placed amazing things in you,
if you don’t say them, you won’t see
them. That is why when the Spirit of
God makes us aware of what God has
given us, the next thing He does is
teach us to say them: “Now we have
received, not the spirit of the world,
but the spirit which is of God; that we
might know the things that are freely
given to us of God. Which things also
we speak, not in the words which
man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the
Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing
spiritual things with spiritual.” (1
Corinthians 2:12, 13).
Jesus said that’s how to manifest
whatever God has placed within you,
“…for out of the abundance of the
heart the mouth speaketh. A good
man out of the good treasure of the
heart bringeth forth good things…”
(Matthew 12:34-35).
In Matthew 17:20, Jesus said nothing
is impossible to a person who has this
spirit of faith, “…for verily I say unto
you, if ye have faith as a grain of
mustard seed, ye shall say…and
nothing shall be impossible unto
you.”
In Luke 17:6, He said that you can deal
with any problem from its roots if you
have the attitude of faith, you can
command anything and it would obey
you “…if you had faith even as small
as a mustard seed, you could say to
this mulberry tree, ‘May you be
uprooted and be planted in the sea,’
and it would obey you!”
Remember that “salvation”
encapsulates everything Jesus
accomplished for us through His
substitutionary sacrifice. Romans
10:10 says, “For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with
the mouth confession is made unto
(healing, promotion, supply, progress,
protection etc.) salvation” (Parenthesis
Mine). It is your confession of faith
that will catapult you into the
experience of your salvation.
The word wasn’t given to you for
decoration. God expects you to believe
it, and to speak it forth with joy and
power. “…for he hath said, I will
never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So
that we may boldly say, The Lord is
my helper, and I will not fear what
man shall do unto me.” (Hebrews
13:5, 6).
5
THE ACTION OF FAITH –
Faith That Doesn’t Act, Doesn’t Work
“For as the human body apart from
the spirit is lifeless, so faith apart
from [its] works of obedience is also
dead.” James 2:26, AMPC
Faith that doesn’t act doesn’t work.
Faith needs corresponding action for it
to produce living results.
You know, am married to the lovely,
Pastor Grace Siame, she is a real
definition of purpose-mate. Together,
we’ve accomplished so much in five
years of marriage than in all the years
of our lives put together.
When we just got married, she used to
have these terrible heart palpitations at
night, each time she would have them,
I’d lay hands on her, according to the
word, and command them to stop, and
they’d stop, only to come back the
following night. This happened night
after night, for months. Until one day I
said to the Lord, “I am tired of having
to lay hands on her every day, what
should I do for this condition to
change permanently?”
Quickly, the Lord answered, “Give
your living room chairs to___ (he
mentioned the person’s name). As the
chairs go so shall the situation.”
I told my wife what the Lord said, and
she said, “let’s do it” she always sides
with the word of the Lord. What a
woman. One time, the Lord had asked
me to give almost everything I had in
the house, including the bed we were
sleeping on, she said, “If we are giving
almost everything in the living room,
our bed, the wardrobe, and all this
money, lets also give the things in the
kitchen.” That’s a woman of faith.
True to God’s word, as the chairs
went, the heart palpitations stopped.
We slept peacefully that night, and it’s
been so ever since.
Now, we were also believing God for a
car. One week after giving the chairs, I
got a phone call from a couple who
asked to see me. This is what they said
to my wife and I, “When we were
driving our car this morning, the Lord
said, ‘You are driving Pastor Jack’s
car, take it to him’” that’s how they
dropped the car keys on the table and
left. It felt like a dream. The car was
exactly what we needed. It was in
excellent condition.
The following day, they brought us the
white book.
We received permanent healing and a
car, because we added action to our
faith.
The couple that gave that car received
three cars in four years, a church plot,
and church office. They received all
these things because they added action
to their faith.
One week after receiving the car,
another couple came to see us, here are
their exact words, “We were sited
home with my wife when the Lord said
to me, ‘These chairs belong to Pastor
Jack, take them to him’”, that’s how
they organized a vehicle and brought
them home.
In just three weeks we received a car,
better chairs and permanent healing for
my wife. I don’t want to imagine what
could have happened had we refused
to give those chairs. Thank God we
gave.
The couple that sowed their chairs
experienced so much favour from God
that their business prospered in such a
short period of time, they opened more
shops, and even bought a new car. It
pays to act out your faith.
When the Lord commanded me to go
to Swaziland when I was 18 years old,
I left with only transport money. When
I reached Johannesburg, South Africa,
I found that there was no transport to
take me to Swaziland that night. I
asked the Lord, “What should I do?”
Immediately, He responded, “See
those two men in front of you? Get
your bags and follow them.”
I followed them, and they said to me,
“Lets go to Durban, you can catch a
bus from there.” When we got to
Durban, we didn’t find any bus leaving
for Swaziland that night, was told to
come in the morning, so these two
strangers booked a hotel room for me
in Durban. I pinched myself several
times that night to just confirm if I was
not dreaming. This seemed too good to
be true.
The following day, they knelt down
and asked me to bless them,
afterwards, they carried my bags to the
station.
In Swaziland, a couple kept me for two
years in their house, while I did my
Theology and preached the Gospel in
that land. They said, “two months ago,
God told us you were coming and
asked us to keep you.” These were
total strangers. They didn’t know me. I
didn’t know them. We are now family.
They now run one of the biggest
ministries in that country.
It was in Swaziland that I gave my first
R1, 300 to the Lord as seed for some
prophetic words I had received
concerning my ministry. I was a
teenager when I sowed that seed, and
few years later, I am living in the
fulfillment of those prophetic words.
If you want your faith to work, you
must act it out. Don’t just believe, act
like you really believe!
Do you believe you are healed? Get up
and do what you couldn’t do.
Do you believe you are rich? Start
giving and acting like a rich person.
Do you believe there is greatness in
you? You can’t get anywhere acting
anyhow – act like a great person you
are.
6
ADD TO YOUR FAITH –
Faith Can’t Stand Alone
“And beside this, giving all diligence,
add to your faith virtue; and to virtue
knowledge; and to knowledge
temperance; and to temperance
patience; and to patience godliness;
and to godliness brotherly kindness;
and to brotherly kindness charity. For
if these things be in you, and about,
they make you that ye shall neither be
barren nor unfruitful in the
knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
2 Peter 1:5-8
You need to add the following to your
faith with all diligence if you will be
fruitful in the knowledge of Christ:
1. VIRTUE
“Virtue” here means “moral
excellence.” This means, you can’t
expect your faith to work if you are not
morally upright.
The Bible says, “For the Lord is a sun
and shield: the LORD will give grace
and glory: no good thing will he
withhold from them that walk
uprightly.” (Psalm 84:11). Therefore,
if you want your faith to work, you
must walk uprightly.
2. KNOWLEDGE
By “knowledge” here, he is not
dealing with revelation knowledge, but
the knowledge which you gain from
studies.
I don’t see how anyone can make it in
the life of faith without knowledge.
You need to educate yourself. You
need to study.
If you don’t read, you cannot lead.
If you don’t read, you cannot reign.
If you don’t read, you cannot rise to
your rightful place in destiny.
Get a degree in the field of your
choice. And when you are done with
your degree, go for a PHD!
Be known for knowledge. But
specialize in the Bible.

Your faith will work well, when you

are well informed about the
circumstances you want to change, and
what the word says about the same.
3. TEMPERANCE
“Temperance” is from the Greek word
“egkrateia” and it means “self-
control” which is the ability and will
to control your impulses, to delay
immediate gratification for a long term
gain.

When you behave anyhow, without

self-control, faith can’t work.
Faith is not lazy. Faith will make you a
great business man. Faith will make
you a diligent employee or employer.
Am sure by now, you know that
laziness and idleness doesn’t work
miracles. You’ve got to discipline
yourself to work. If you don’t work,
nothing will.
Control yourself to work or something
else will.
Rule your thoughts or they will ruin
you.
Conquer yourself and nothing can
conquer you.
No one can make you a failure, loser,
or pauper, unless you let them.
If you are not subjecting your
emotions and thoughts to the Lordship
of God’s word, you are allowing
yourself to live the life of a victim
even though God has given you the life
of a victor.
Anger is one letter short of danger.
Tame your tongue, and make it say the
right things.
Resist the temptation to overreact.
Stop any habit that doesn’t glorify
God.
Discipline yourself to do what is right,
to go to church, to pray and be in the
word every day, and your faith will
grow to work wonders.
There is nothing your faith can’t do if
you control yourself to live according
to the word.
4. PATIENCE

Isaiah 28:16 says, “…he that

believeth shall not make haste.”
Faith is patient. You don’t panic
when you truly believe.
Impatience is one of the reasons
many don’t experience what the
word talks about. The Bible says
that it is through faith and patience
that we step into that which is
written of us (Hebrews 6:12).

“Do not, therefore, fling away your

fearless confidence, for it carries a
great and glorious compensation of
reward. For you have need of
steadfast patience and endurance,
so that you may perform and fully
accomplish the will of God, and
thus receive and carry away [and
enjoy to the full] what is promised.”
(Hebrews 10:35, 36 AMPC). Keep
working the word, don’t stop
because the manifestation doesn’t
seem to be appearing, if you don’t
give up, you will surely testify.

Faith and patience may seem like

two opposites, but they work
together. If your faith lacks
patience, its manifestation will
delay until patience is developed in
you. “My brethren, count it all joy
when ye fall into divers temptations;
knowing this, that the trying of your
faith worketh patience. But let
patience have her perfect work, that
ye may be perfect and entire,
wanting nothing.” (James 1:2-4). It
is when patience has done her work
that faith can experience what it has
received.

So, never be moved when things

seem to be getting worse while you
are working the word, stick to the
word, and you’ll come back with a
glorious testimony!

5. GODLINESS
“Godliness” means piety towards
God, piety to spiritual or godly
activities. It includes your service to
God, how you dress, the movies you
watch, and how much your life is after
God’s kingdom agenda.
You need to be serious and practical
about serving God. “If they obey and
serve him, they shall spend their days
in prosperity, and their years in
pleasures.” (Job 36:11).
Serving the Lord as an act of faith, and
as a demonstration of your love for
God will help you live the life that
God meant for you to live.
Jesus said that if you are after the
progress of His kingdom, you cannot
lack, “But seek ye first the kingdom of
God, and his righteousness; and all
these things shall be added unto
you.” (Matthew 6:33).
Don’t just serve the Lord for the
inheritance you want released from
within you, serve Him specially,
because you love Him. Your works of
love are the only works that He values,
remembers and rewards, “For God is
not unrighteous to forget your work
and labour of love, which ye have
shewed toward his name, in that ye
have ministered to the saints, and do
minister.” (Hebrews 6:10).
Every Christian must be very
committed to God’s work; this is part
of your manifestation of godliness. Not
only should you serve diligently, you
should see to it that you do the work
excellently, and that you dress and
carry yourself decently.
6. BROTHERLY KINDNESS

The Greek word for “brotherly

kindness” is “Philadelphia,” which
means fraternal affection; learning
to be helpful in a brotherly manner;
having godly affection for your
brethren.

When you add “Philadelphia” to

your faith you esteem, honor and
love others dearly.

You can’t be rude and insensitive to

the feelings or needs of others and
expect your faith to work. You’ve
got to walk in kindness.

7. CHARITY (LOVE)
By “charity” the word is talking about
“Agape” – the God-kind of love. Am
sure by now, you know that faith
doesn’t work without love. “For in
Jesus Christ neither circumcision
availeth any thing, nor
uncircumcision; but faith which
worketh by love.” (Galatians 5:6).
One time, my friends and I prayed for
someone who had chest pains. This
was back then in high school when I
was 16. After 30 minutes of prayer,
nothing happened. We were not very
much interested in helping the brother;
we wanted to use his condition to gain
spiritual mileage and appear great
before the people. When the miracle
didn’t happen, we felt embarrassed,
and just told the brother, “You don’t
have enough faith. Go work on your
faith.” He left feeling sad and
dejected, you could see it written all
over his face.
On my way home from school that
day, I began to feel all the pain that
brother described. I rebuked it, but it
didn’t go. When I reached home, I
prayed and cried, it didn’t go. It was at
midnight that the pain finally left me.
The next time I met the brother, I knew
exactly how he felt. This time, I wasn’t
concerned about making a name for
myself, but helping him and glorifying
the Lord.
I asked him, “Sir, do you still have
that pain you talked about last time?”
“Yes” He responded.
I touched his chest with mind index
finger and whispered “Pain, leave him
now, in Jesus’ Name” and he was
healed instantly.
Last time, we prayed for him for about
30 minutes to no avail, our faith failed
because it was not operated by love.
This time, it worked, because it was
operated by love.
The Lord had to work on my heart to
love people genuinely and desire to
help them with His power. I’ve found
that the more I grow in love, the faster
my faith works, and the easier the
miracles.
If your faith is not working, check
your motives, check your love.
Selfishness, lust, unforgiveness, envy,
and jealous can keep faith from
working.
Beloved, if these 7 things we’ve
discussed in this chapter “…be in you,
and abound, they make you that ye
shall neither be barren nor unfruitful
in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus
Christ.” (2 Peter 1:8). So do due
diligence to add them to your faith.
