My Work Immersion Highlight

Through work immersion, I was able to explore, interact with

people of various personality, get to know the ideas of my future
career and most importantly, I get to develop my skills in my chosen
failed. With the hustle, fun and learning that I’ve had in my work
immersion I also get to know myself. And on our second day at the
canto restaurant we learned how to serve the ordered food and also
how to clean what the customers ate and how to maintain the
cleanliness of the dining area and the tables and the next day that I
have been assigned to the kitchen and what I have learned in the
kitchen is how to slice the ingredients needed for the food to be
cooked and I am more challenged on how to wash the customers' food
and when I finish in the kitchen I will be assigned I am a barista so I
can learn how to make milktea, lemonades and others and I also
learned how to inventory items and I also learned how to maintain the
attitude when at work and how to maintain coming to work early and
many more.

AN ESSAY OF LEARNING
What I Learned During the Work Immersion

Through work immersion the students are exposed to and

become familiar with work related environment related to their field
of specialization to enhance their competence. Immersion is good
when it brings meaning to your work, making the time spent working
more pleasurable and rewarding and improves my skill levels.
Immersion is bad when other aspects of your life inadvertently suffer.
Students who are having a hard time deciding their career path can
use their grained experiences and competencies during their work
immersion as a basis of their evaluation on their career decision
making to get more satisfied in their future courses. The positive
learning gains suggest that work immersion enables the students to
acquire and develop the skills of teamwork, communication,
attendance, punctuality, productivity, resilience. Initiative, proactivity,
judgement and decision making, dependability and reliability,
attitude, and professionalism. The work immersion program of the
Department of Education is one of the key features of the newly
established educational curriculum. This course primarily aims to
expose a student to an active workplace where he/she can improve his
communication and social skills. According to the positive learning
outcomes, work immersion helps students learn and improve the
following skills; collaboration, communication, punctuality,
productivity, perseverance, innovation, proactivity, judgement,
dependability, attitude, and professionalism. Immersion is an
instruction based on extensive exposure to surroundings or conditions
that are native or pertinent to the object of study that you complete
involvement in some activity or interest.
