Pipe Sizing:

The fundamental dominating the pipe sizing and pipe system design is that pressure drop
of a given pipe section at a give flow rate decreases with the fifth power of pipe diameter.
Doubling the diameter reduces the frictional losses to 1/32 nd time. Simple lesson bigger
pipes allows smaller pumps. (enlarging the pipe enables much slower velocity to achieve
the required flow rates)
