3.1 Heat pump installation note
9
CAUTION:
1) Project design, installation must be carried out by authorized personnel under related law,
regulation of the local.
2) Under different condition (ambient temperature and heating water temperature), the hot
water producing volume is different, must select the water pump with proper water flow
rate according to the heat pump name plate.

3.2 Heat pump receiving and checking:

z Before up‐pack the heat pump, it is recommended to deliver the heat pump to the
installing site as close as possible.
z When reach the installing site, should up‐pack the box for receiving work.
1) Check if the heat pump accessories are enough.
2) Check if the model is same as requested.
3) Check if there are broken parts on the heat pump body.
4) Check if there is refrigerant leakage from the pressure gauge.
If there are heat pump damage issues or doubts, please contact your local dealer for handling.

3.3 The Heat pump Installation position:

z The position must strong enough to stand the heat pump and water tank weight, the
heat pump running noise, heat pump blow air and heat pump condensing water should
not affect neighborhood.
z Forbidden to install the heat pump in the position close to flammable and combustible
area.
z Forbidden to install the heat pump in the position with high density dust, high moisture,
high oil density or corrosive air.
z Installing position must with good ventilation, have enough space for maintenance.
z Installing site should be convenience for water piping work and power source wiring
work.
3.4 The Heat Pump installing space (Dimension unit: mm)

3.5 Heat pump moving and installing:

z When lifting the heat pump to the top of the building, please lift with the packing wood
box together for preventing the heat pump cabinet from changing shape due to the
10
lifting rope force. Lifting angle should within 15°and lifting with at least 2 balancing rope.
Avoiding clashing with other objects when lifting.

z The heat pump must be installed on the concrete base or steel base, condensing piping
is needed.
z Anti‐vibration pad is needed before move the heat pump on the installing base.
z The heat pump position angle should within 5°.
z When install the heat pump in modular, there should have enough space for
maintenance or air ventilation.

3.6 Heat Pump foundation support & foundation bolt (Unit: mm)

M8×200 bolt

≥300

Note:
z The foundation support must be strong enough to stand the heat pump weight, it can be
concrete base or channel steel base.
z The heat pump should be fastened with bolts on the foundation.
z Each heat pump should install with anti‐vibration pad with at least 20mm thickness.
z Each heat pump should install with condensing water discharge tube.

4 Water system installation

4.1 Water system installing note

CAUTION:
1) Water filter with at least 30 meshes must be installed at the heat pump water input side.
Prevent the heat pump condenser from blocking. And the water filter must be cleaned
regularly.
2) In the winter time when the outside ambient temperature is low, the power source is
forbidden to be cut off when the heat pump stops. Otherwise the heat pump’s
anti‐freezing function cannot be activated.
3) The water inside the heat pump condenser, water tank and piping must be discharged
11
away when heat pump need to stop for long time no use.

z The water tank should be installed after the heat pump fasten well on the base
z The pipe dimension between the heat pump and the tank should be equal to the
heat pump name plate requested or bigger than inlet and outlet.
z Insulation materials with good quality are necessary to be adopted the water pipes
to prevent heat loss, also for freeze proof in winter time.
z Make sure no water leakage on the water pipe system.
z It is necessary to use soft connectors or pipes, in order to reduce the vibration.
z Before connected to the heat pump, the whole water system must be cleaned out.
z Please install auto‐exhaust valve respectively in the bulgy parts and the highest
position of the water system.
z Drain valve should be installed at the lowest position of the pipe system.
z It is better to adopt thermometers and water pressure gauges at the water inlet and
outlet.
z Filter and water treatment equipment are recommended, especially for hard water
area!
z All the electrical appliances used to the system should be with a rain cover, and
easily replaced once damaged.
z Improper brake valve and ball valve will reduce flow rate.
z Install pipes straightly, less water resistance with less elbows used.
z Please select an appropriate circulating pump to guarantee heat exchanging
capacity of the unit! (refer to the heat pump name plate requested flow rate)
z Choose a water pump with suitable ‘Flow rate’ and ‘Head pressure’ according to the
required flow rate, as well as the height difference between the unit and the tank.
Better with a bigger one. (25% bigger)
z The filter should be installed before cold water flows into the heat pump or water
tank as well.
z Flow switch should be installed between the heat pump and the water tank. (better
install the water flow switch at the heat pump water output side)
z When more than 3 units heat pump connected together (modular controlling), the
water piping work should be able to balance the water pressure of each heat pump.

4.2 Installation of Water tank

z Storage hot water tank can be installed on the balcony, roof or ground with the heat
pump.
z The tank must be vertically installed to the strong base.
z The tank should stand with pads under its feet.
z The tank base should be secure and reliable.
z Stop valve, Y‐filter and check valve must be installed to the water feed pipe before water
enter into the tank.
z Flexible pipe should be fixed to the relief valve for hot water, to release the pressure.
z Dirty water should be leaded to the floor drain through a flexible pipe, before that , stop
valve must be installed to the pipe.

10 Heat pump maintenance

WARINING!
Before maintenance work, the heat pump power must be cut off.

Note: the heat pump have been fully tested before delivery, for guarantee the good performance of the heat
pump, user need to do the regular maintenance to the heat pump.

Regular maintenance item:

Evaporator‐ To maintain the evaporator’s heat exchanging efficiency, its body must be clean and no any dust,
dirty stuff.

Condenser‐ To confirm if the condenser is not efficiency or with water scale, user can measure the
condenser’s water input and output temperature difference, and compare the condenser output water
temperature with the gas condensing temperature, if the temperature difference is over 5 to 7℃, it means
the condenser’s efficiency have drop and need to be cleaned. The condenser cleaning need t o be done with
some chemical solution, and need the authorized personal to conduct the work.

Water piping‐ the water piping may have some air come in, to avoid the air affecting the water flow rate,
please discharge the air from the water piping regularly

Y‐filter‐ clean the Y‐filter, to avoid the water flow rate be affected.

Water quality‐ need to measure the heating water quality, to avoid the corrosion on the condenser.

To guarantee the heat pump’s performance, the below heat pump major components need to have regular
checking.
