STEPS ON HOW TO OBTAIN A NEW MEXICO

LICENSE (OUT OF COUNTRY RECIPROCITY)

Do not send this file to the people who has business of charging or collecting money

to applicants. You will be blocked this fb group if you do so. Avoid posting this file

also in other Fb groups and other group chats. This file is for the members of this

group only and not for business. This is free!!!! If you are a vlogger/content creator

do not copy and eventually make a content about this file without my consent. A

lot of teachers had NM license already because of my previous file about the

procedure about acquiring NM license but the NMPED has changed its agency for

fingerprinting (IdentoGo) and this is the new version of the said file.

Importance of having NM license:

You can have a teaching license in a US state while you are in the Philippines and it

is an advantage also because you could apply for reciprocity of teaching license in

some states once you are already in US,

Part 1: Fingerprinting to Local Agency (NBI or Police

Station)
1. Get fingerprint cards (2 pieces). I posted the soft copy finger print cards

here in this fb group already or download and print this one

2. Write this in the finger printing card that pertains to ORI NM920140Z

For Reason for Fingerprinting: Write “Teacher Licensure”

Do not write on the portion of SSN if you do not have an SSN (leave it

blank).

Fingerprints must be submitted on standard FBI (FD-258) fingerprint hard

card. IDEMIA will not process any other state or local government agency’s

fingerprint card; we can only accept the standard FBI (FD-258) fingerprint

hard card (white with light blue trim). The fingerprint card must be

completely filled-out in legible print.

Note: In the website of NMPED the FD-258 Card’s color is black and white while

in the website of IdentoGo it says Blue-White trim ink. I am waiting for the

response of NMPED if black and white fingerprint cards are still accepted like

before.
3. proceed to NBI or Police station for your fingerprint to be inked in the

finger print cards.

(if you are from the Philippines do not write on the blank intended for SSN

(leave it blank)

Part 2: Pre-Registration in IdentoGo Website

1. Go online to the IdentoGO website, https://nm.state.identogo.com/

Note: IdentoGO has a fee of $59.00 that you must pay when registering at

their site.

2. Select the option To Mail in your Fingerprint Card (image below,

shown with red box around it):

 3. Select YES when the disclaimer pops-up asking to confirm that you truly

want to submit a Hard/ Ink Card to IdentoGO.

4. On the next page, enter the appropriate ORI (NM920140Z ) and

Fingerprint Reason as required (Teacher Licensure). This information is

provided by your Agency regarding the reason you need to complete the

fingerprint-based background check.

5. Next, enter complete demographic information. Make sure the information

entered is an EXACT match to the data fields filled-out on the fingerprint

hard card.

6. Complete payment using a credit card.

7. Print the barcode sheet that is displayed when registration is complete.

8. Sign the Barcode confirmation page and include in your submission to be

mailed.

Part 3: Shipping Fingerprint Hard Card for New

Mexico Processing
Ship the fully completed fingerprint hard card along with the barcode sheet

(example below) signed by the applicant to the following address:

Important: always utilize the shipping address located on your Bar Code

confirmation page.

Part 4: Create an Account in New Mexico Public

Education website

1. Click or copy this link to your web browser

Fill out the necessary fields of the online form For the State, select: Non-USA

If you cannot access the website IdentoGo and NMPED download a VPN

applications from your computer. Watch in YouTube the instruction “How to use

Proton VPN”.
In basic terms, a VPN provides an encrypted server

and hides your IP address from corporations, government agencies and would-be

hackers. A VPN protects your identity even if you are using public or shared Wi-

Fi, and your data will be kept private from any prying internet eyes.

You can also try Opera Mini web browser.

2. Log in to your account and Create Application

Application Type is New (Initial)

Category is Teacher

Complete all your information

Your license level code will depend on your educational background and years of

teaching experience

and recommendation from the school district.

If you have 9 years teaching experience plus at least finished your Master’s Degree

– choose LEVEL 3A, even if you have 20 teaching experience but no Masters you

have to choose level 2, even if you have Masters or PhD but the teaching

experience is below 9 years -choose Level 2.

3. Pay the $150 (non-refundable) fee online by using your credit card or debit card

(MasterCard, Visa or Discover)

Card). Check your bank if it is available for international payment.

4. Mail the following to original documents to:

A. Official Foreign Transcripts and Official Course-by-Course Transcripts

Evaluation; must be sealed or let

your Foreign Credential Evaluator send the softcopy of your official FCE to

LicensureUnit@state.nm.us

B. Copy of current/ valid teaching PRC license ( not expired)

C. Report of rating from PRC

D. Certificate of Good Standing from PRC

E. Verification of experience (Must be on Out-of-State School District Letterhead).

Please break down

experience by M/D/Y and please indicate the number of days taught for each year.

160 days commonly

equals 1 full school year. Copy the format of the file that I attached.

F. Barcode confirmation of identoGo

Note: you need to upload also the softcopies of verification of experience, PRC

license, certificate ofgood standing, report of rating but the original documents

should be mailed also together with your FCE to

Note: You can let the Foreign transcript evaluator (SPANTRAN, WES, JSA

etc) to send your FCE to NMPED for you to avoid sending the original FCE.
