1. Member states of the United Nations should aid in the provision of humanitarian aid to
citizens of Afghanistan by contributing to the United Nations’ Office for the Coordination
of Human Affairs’ Humanitarian Response Plan for Afghanistan to aid in fulfilling the
requirement of $868.7 million worth humanitarian aid required for the year 2021,

2. The international community should ensure the safety, security and free movement of
all United Nations, development and humanitarian personnel and protect the property of
the United Nations and of development or humanitarian organizations with accordance to
General Assembly resolution 60/123,

3. The illicit trafficking in drugs by Taliban within Afghanistan and in neighbouring


States and countries along trafficking routes should be cracked down upon by a stricter
implementation of the United Nations Office on Drug Control’s Convention against Illicit
Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988, which has established
measures to combat illicit drug trafficking and related money-laundering, as well as
strengthening the framework of international cooperation in criminal matters, including
extradition and mutual legal assistance and by increasing the border security,

4. The condition of women in Afghanistan can be uplifted by the intervention of United


Nations Women in accordance to the Convention on the Elimination of All forms of
Discrimination against women,

5. In order to help locate, evacuate and provide shelter to Afghan refugees, provisions
should be made with special reference to the 1951 Convention and 1967 Optional Criteria
on the status of refugees.
