A Proposal to Install Water Sanitation.

This is to submit to your office a solution to the problems we experience due to the lack of
water sanitation in the Baranggay Batulawan, Pikit North Cotabato.
The Water Sanitation has been a great concern among the community in terms of health. The
common issues they are raising are the time are the water-related diseases, hygiene related
diseases. All these problems are caused by mismanagement of water resources and using of
well waters which leads to diarrhoeal diseases due to lack of appropriate wash services.

The proposed project can be completed in ten (10) weeks and would cost P 1,429,700

PROPOSED SOLUTION

The Solution I am proposing is to create communal faucet facility in each block of the Purok.
Communal faucet where can households get their proper access to clean water whereas
filtration IS done by utilizing filters to block particles or bacterias while allowing water to pass.
Baranggay Batulawan has total of 8 Purok and Each Purok has 2 blocks, Therefore 16 Communal
faucet facility should be installed. Each Communal Faucet should be 1m×1m so that they could
be more accessible.
JUSTIFICATION

The Solution has been implemented in the Municipality of Liloan, Cebu whereas they are able
to provide direct access to water for the 1,615 people living in the mountains of barangay
Tabla. The water is currently free for all residents pending discussions with the barangay.
I hope the LGU will consider the CMR Builders to be a contractor for the installation of new
communal faucets for their quality construction services.

SCHEDULE

The implementation of the proposal will only take weeks. The installation can be done during
summer period June-August)

• Ordering and Acquisition from CMR Master Plumber Company 1 week

• CMR Master Plumber Company constructs the Communal Water Faucets 8 weeks
• Ground crew builds fixes the remaining plumbing issues 1 week

COST

The project will augment LGU and DILG's undertaking In improving the water system of the
barangay through its Economic Development Fund.

• Materials and Supplies P 209,700

• Procurement and Delivery of Supplies P 20,000

• Construction of Filtration Tank, Reservoir
water structure and pipe laying (Materials, Labors and Equity) P 700,000
• Construction Services P 500,000
TOTAL COST P 1,429,700

CONCLUSION

With The Implementation of this Proposed Project, It can decrease the poverty incidence in the
barangay. It will provide 217 households in the barangay an access to clean and safe water. It
also seeks to eliminate the incidence of water diseases and diarrhoeal disease In the barangay
which was recorded at 68 cases of skin diseases during the preceding year. As the more serious
sickness which may be brought about by unsafe water will drain the budget of the family,
availability of safe drinking water is a must to every household. Easy access to safe water will
also result to savings in time of family members.
