Subclass 500 Visa

Streamlined Evidence - Funds Required:


As we have mentioned previously, the Department of Home Affairs (the DHA) assigns an ‘Immigration Risk’ rating
(level of perceived risk) to each application for a subclass 500 visa, based on the applicant’s education provider
and passport nationality. Your application has been assigned as needing to satisfy Streamlined Evidentiary
Requirements, meaning that you must meet the criteria listed below.

FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS
Level of Funds Required
The DHA has set out the amounts in Australian dollars that you must have access to in order to meet the expenses you are
likely to incur whilst studying in Australia. We have used this information, along with the details of your intended study, to
ESTIMATE the total amounts that you are required to have access to while you are in Australia, as shown in the table below.
You must declare that you have access to sufficient funds to cover these expenses for the period of your intended stay in
Australia. You may be asked to provide evidence of these funds.
