Course Description
Detection of strabismus & binocular vision anomalies is a vital role of optometrist.
Binocular vision anomalies & orthoptics discuss strabismus in terms of definition,
etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment modalities of strabismus. It
includes a clear classification of strabismus as well as differentiation between types of
strabismus that can be managed with spectacles, prisms, vision therapy vs. types of
strabismus that require further ophthalmic or neurologic consultation.
