SMART Goals:

A. Develop a comprehensive physics curriculum for ATHS that aligns with national
educational standards. (20%)
 Create a detailed syllabus outlining the learning objectives and assessment criteria
for each unit within the curriculum.
 Collaborate with lead teachers and teachers to gather input and insights throughout
the development process.
 Ensure the curriculum emphasizes fundamental physics concepts while integrating
real-world applications that pique students' interest and relevance in their daily lives.
 Complete the development of the physics curriculum, including all teaching
materials, supplementary resources and informal diagnostics within each term.

B. Develop a set of comprehensive summative assessments for the ATHS Physics

curriculum. (20%)
 Create the summative assessments each term, with a range of question types to
assess various levels of cognitive complexity.
 Collaborate with assessment lead teachers to ensure that the assessments
accurately reflect the curriculum's learning objectives and difficulty levels.
 Complete the development of the summative assessments and related answer keys
within the stipulated timeline and in time for the end-of-semester evaluation cycle.

C. Develop the Project Design and Development course (20%)

 Create a comprehensive Project Design and Development course that equips
students with the knowledge and skills needed to initiate, plan, execute, and manage
projects across various disciplines
 Develop a curriculum that includes a number of units, each covering a distinct phase
of the project lifecycle, with detailed activities, learning objectives, and assessment
criteria.
 Collaborate with subject matter experts, and research to ensure the course content
is accurate, relevant, and aligned with industry best practices.

D. Develop PD programs for teachers aimed at enhancing their instructional strategies and
curriculum delivery techniques (10%)
 Advanced Placement (AP) training for teachers is designed to provide educators with
the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to effectively teach Advanced
Placement courses to students.
 Teachers learn about the structure and format of the corresponding AP exam, as well
as strategies for preparing students to succeed on it. This includes understanding the
types of questions, time constraints, and scoring rubrics.
 The Lab techs are trained to operate, calibrate, and maintain the specific physics lab
equipment used in experiments (Vernier & PHYWE). This training covers a range of
instruments, data loggers, sensors and kits in Mechanics, Optics, Electromagnetism,
etc.
 Provide/ arrange training on different LMS systems used for various Physics Courses.

E. Facilitate collaboration between the manager and the Core curriculum specialist team.
(25%)
 Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of core team activities related to
curriculum development.
 Serve as a bridge between the manager's strategic directives and the curriculum
specialist team's implementation efforts.
 Monitor the progress of core team, ensuring that deadlines are met, and
deliverables align with the established curriculum goals.

F. Professional Development:
 Training in curriculum design principles, learning theory, and instructional design
methodologies to create engaging and effective curriculum materials.
 Training in designing assessments that align with learning objectives and methods to
evaluate curriculum effectiveness.
 Ongoing learning in the specific subject areas covered by the curriculum to ensure
accurate content and relevance
