Recording Your Set

Please inform the venue if you would like to record your show!
Contact Dave Laycock (Head of Sound): dave@laycockaudio.com

Multi-track
It is now possible to make a multi-track recording of your set at
Hootananny.

The console has a Danté card installed.

The recording laptop MUST have:
● An ethernet port/Thunderbolt to ethernet adaptor
● Danté Virtual Soundcard installed (license roughly £20)
● Recording software such as Logic Pro X, ProTools, Cubase, Reaper
● Currently Apple’s M1 chips do not support Danté Virtual Sound
Card
● We do have the X-USB card which can also be installed

You must have at least 20GB of free space to record on to.

If you are unable to provide a laptop, the engineer on the night may be
able to, but this will need to be discussed in advance.

It is also possible to have your live multitrack session mixed

professionally at a later date by the engineer. This is subject to their
working rates and availability.

Stereo Mix
A stereo mix can be taken from the desk either via XLR or Jack outputs
to your own portable recorder.

It could also be recorded straight to a USB memory stick of 32GB

capacity or less formatted to FAT32 or EX-FAT.

Access Arrangements
Artist Access Requirements
Aim of the policy

To ensure all artists and accompanying team have their access needs
established prior to their arrival

The Policy

At the point of contract exchange, all promoters will ask the agents or artists directly
if any of the performers or accompanying team, including the merchandise vendors,
require any special access provisions. Any changes to the standard procedures with
artists will be planned and organised in advance of the artist arrival. Any access
needs that are unable to be adhered by due to the constraints of the venue will be
related to the agent or artists.

There are:

● 5 deep steps to stage. The venue does not have a stage lift to mitigate this.

● There is level access to the artist’s small band room

● Personal Assistants are offered access to the band room with wrist band, after
prior arrangement

● There is a disabled parking bay by the venue at Arlingford Road

● The venue does not have an accessible toilet. The nearest accessible toilet is
1.3miles at the White Horse pub, Brixton Hill.

● The venue is 1.5m from Brixton Tube and rail.
