ability to communicate well.
Activity 5 asks pupils to talk about appearance.
Look at the example with the class. Point to the
first picture and say He’s got a beard. Say He hasn’t
got … and prompt pupils to answer. Accept all correct
answers. Put pupils in pairs. They take turns pointing
to a picture and saying a sentence with has got.
Their partner says a sentence about the same picture
using hasn’t got. Monitor and check pupils’ sentences
are correct.
Activity 6 asks pupils to ask and answer Has he/she
got …?
Do the example with the class. Point to the girl and
ask Has she got a crown? Prompt pupils to look at
the girl’s box and see if there’s a picture of a crown
inside it. Elicit the answer, No, she hasn’t. Encourage
them to say something she has got. Put pupils in
pairs. They take turns asking a question for their
partner to answer. They should ask or answer five
questions.
