    This service bulletin provides instructions to improve the reliability of the power amp circuit in certain MZxx0032xxxxxx and earlier models. The phenomenon was blown power transistors in the power amp circuit due to unstable idle current and low speaker protection circuit sensitivity. The solution is to replace five resistors with higher value resistors to address this issue. This improvement has been incorporated into production from year and week 0033 onward, as indicated by the serial number.

    [REASON]
    Unstable idle current at the power amp section and low sensitivity of speaker protection circuit.

    [SOLUTION]

    Replace the resistor R641, R642, R643, R644 and R645 to 220 ohm 1/4W (4822 050 22201,
    GD05221140).

    Replace the resistor R616, R617, R618, R619 and R620 to 30k ohm 1/6W (9965 000 02635,
    GD05303160)

    Replace the resistor R681, R682, R683, R684 and R685 to 1.5k ohm 1/6W (4822 116 52243,
    GD05152160)

    [REMARK]
    This improvement has been done in the production line after the year and week code “0033” and
    later. The year and week code are mentioned in the serial number label on the rear panel. (ex.
    MZxx0033xxxxxx)
