The brand says it all. Upon introducing the garbage and linen chutes to the GCC market in 2005, we
revolutionized the chute industry. We still are the only supplier that provides PLC controlled chutes compatible
with world known BMS, fire alarms, and vacuum collection systems. In 2012, and because of our rebranding
strategies, we renamed our chutes as GREEN® Chutes. By producing our chutes locally, we were able to
reduce our prices without affecting the quality required by our clientele. We continue to produce our complete
chute components in first class facilities as we have done since 2004.
Get us involved in the planning stages, or when the job is started and rest assured
that costly delays will be eliminated. As for certifications, our chutes are produced

This system not only allows one door open at a time, it allows for complete
system lock-out from the trash room below, interfaces with trash compactors to
lock out the chute when the compactor is full or at fault, interfaces with the
cleaning system to lock the doors during cleaning, and interfaces with
heat/smoke sensors and alarms to lock the chute if those alarms are available.
When ALL DOORS LOCK selector is in the OFF position, the system operation is
automatic. All doors are locked in the situations below:
- Any door is opened
- Compactor is full
- Compactor AUTO/HAND selector is in HAND position
- Cleaning system
- Emergency STOP button is depressed
- Fire alarm sounds (Optional. Requires signal from fire alarm controller)
- Main Isolation Switch is in OFF position
To clean the system, the operator must put the CLEANING SYSTEM selector in
ON position. This locks all intake doors and opens the solenoid valve at the top of
the chute. Note: A pressure of 0.5 bar is required at the uppermost cleaning
sprinkler.

Note:
1. Analog can be input into analog-receivable FAB2s like AF-10/20MR-D2, AF-
10/20MT-D2, AF-10/20MT-GD2 through all the input ports (I1-I6/I1-IC). As long as
the analog-related function blocks are used in the program, Its port is automatically set
to analog input. If in the program do not use the analog-related function blocks, its port
is automatically set to digit input.
2. The analog inputs require DC 0V~10V voltage signals, which are divided equally
in 0.1V increments. When you edit the program, all the block parameters related to the
analog inputs are based on the minimum increment of 0.1V.
3.When the input voltage is higher than DC10.0V, it can only be used as switch, not be
used as analog.
4.For digit input, when the switch state changes from 0 to 1, the time of the 1 state
must be greater than 50ms. When the switch state changes from 1 to 0, the 0 state must
also exist for more than 50ms.

TECHNICAL DATA SHEET & PROCESS GUIDE
TOUGH PROTECTIVE COATING
U-POL’s RAPTOR Tough Protective Coating is a 2K polyurethane coating that provides surfaces with a protective barrier.
RAPTOR Tintable is also available.
FEATURES
• CUSTOMISABLE
Can be tinted to match required colour.
Available in black and tintable versions.
• DURABLE
Provides tough mechanical damage and stain resistant surface.
Protects against rust, corrosion and extreme temperatures.
• UV RESISTANT
Delivers the highest level of fade protection.
• WATERPROOF
Provides a water tight seal, keeping moisture out and eliminating the chance for rust.
• SOUND DEADENER
Flexible and reduces noise and vibrations.
• RESISTANT
Resistant against fuels, hydraulic oils, animal urine, salt water and more.
CERTIFICATES
• FIRE RESISTANCE
RAPTOR has passed flammability testing for motor vehicles according to the test methods FMVSS 302, ISO 3795 &
BS AU 169A.
• SLIP RESISTANCE
When used with RAPTOR Traction Additive (available separately: RLTR/SM), it produces a finish meeting
BS7976-2.
Substrate Preparation To achieve best results with RAPTOR, good preparation is essential.
1. Remove all loose material and any rust from the surface to be coated.
2. Clean and degrease the surface.
3. Abrade the surface with P120-P180 grit sand paper.
4. Re-clean the surface.
* Aluminium, bare metal, and galvanized: prime with an etch primer, such as two
coats of U-POL ACID#8.
* Fiberglass and plastic: for optimal adhesion, use an adhesion promoter, such
as U-POL's GRIP#4.
* Wood: RAPTOR can go direct to stable wood. New wood requires sealing first.
* Concrete: for best results, clean the surface and remove dust. Seal first with
proprietary concrete sealer before applying RAPTOR.
* OEM E-Coat: scuff the surface with an abrasive pad then clean and degrease.
MIXING
Mixing Ratio
As simple as
FILL - SHAKE - SHOOT®
RAPTOR can be applied using U-POL's SCHUTZ gun or an HVLP Gravity Gun.
Mix ratios are dependent on the type of gun used.
Using an accelerator is not recommended.
*** Only mix one bottle of RAPTOR at a time. Clean gun between mixes. ***
Simply FILL the Raptor coating bottle with 250nl of hardener, replace cap and Shake contents vigorously for at least
2 minutes. SHOOT.
Adding RAPTOR Traction Add 200g of RAPTOR Traction per liter of RAPTOR Coating.
Anti-Slip Granules Shake well and spray the final coat. For large areas, it may be more convenient
to mix in a separate container rather than the RAPTOR bottle.
2K ISOCYANATE HARDENER
• Specially designed to provide optimum results independent of climatic conditions and size of repair
• Use with RAPTOR coating only
Shelf Life 9 months in unopened containers. Lids must be replaced after every use.
Storage Temperature +5°C - +25°C
RAPTOR hardener must not be used on its own, it must always be mixed with RAPTOR coating.
APPLICATION
Spraying RAPTOR 1. Remove cap from RAPTOR bottle with the mixed RAPTOR
2. Attach the RAPTOR bottle to the U-POL SCHUTZ GUN
3. Adjust the air pressure on your compressor to 40-60 PSI
4. Apply to the prepared surface with an even sweeping motion to obtain the
desired texture
5. If applying additional coats allow to flash off for 60 minutes between coats
U-POL recommends that you spray a test panel with RAPTOR first to ensure
the desired texture is achieved
IMPORTANT! Do not place heavy loads on the surface until RAPTOR is fully cured. Please see dry times below.
Drying Times
Touch Dry @ 20°C Less than 1 hour
Light Duty @ 20°C 2-3 days
Regular Duty @ 20°C 5-7 days
Force Drying @ 65°C 40 minutes. 5 days to build final hardness for heavy duty
Reducing flash off time, excessive film build and/or reduced temperatures will alter drying time.
Baking RAPTOR can be baked for 30 minutes @ 60°C. Baking will speed up
the initial cure, but it is still recommended that you wait 2-3 days for
light usage and 7 days for heavy duty usage.
I.R. Cure I.R. curing is not recommended.
Over Painting RAPTOR can be overpainted with most modern paint systems. When
overpainting, prep the surface as follows:
1. Let sprayed RAPTOR dry for 24 hours
2. Abrade with a fine abrasive pad
3. Clean and degrease
Q. Does the milk colour of RAPTOR lighten up the tint colour? How can I get a brilliant colour?
A. For best colour match results, Tintable RAPTOR requires a urethane single stage colour. If you choose to use
basecoat, ask your paint supplier to leave the binder out of the formulation so it is pure pigment. The final colour will
appear slightly lighter than the base colour. Once mixed, check the colour of the tinted system before spraying and
adjust if critical.
Q. How do you change the colour after an incorrect colour has been sprayed?
A. If the colours are close, reapply with the correct shade of RAPTOR. If the colours are not close, strip back the
original RAPTOR and reapply.
Q. Can I apply Raptor directly to bare metal, aluminium, galvanised and steel?
A. ACID#8 Etch Primer must be applied first to bare metal surfaces.
