Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise
men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, "Where is He who has been born King of the
Jews? For we have seen His Star in the East and have come to worship Him." When Herod the
king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. And when he had gathered all
the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to
be born. So, they said to him, "In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet: 'But
you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of
you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel."'

Matthew 2:7-12 (NKJV)

Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the
star appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and search carefully for the young
Child, and when you have found Him, bring back word to me, that I may come and worship
Him also." When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen
in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. When
they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. And when they had come into the
house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him.
And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense,
and myrrh. Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they
departed for their own country another way.

Matthew 2:13-15 (NKJV)

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream,
saying, "Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring
you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him." When he arose, he took the

young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, and was there until the death of
Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,
"Out of Egypt I called My Son."

Matthew 2:16-18 (NKJV)

Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and
he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its
districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from
the wise men. Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying: "A voice
was heard in Ramah, Lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her
children, refusing to be comforted, because they are no more."

1 Corinthians 1:18-21 (NKJV)

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being
saved it is the power of God. For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring
to nothing the understanding of the prudent." Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where
is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For since, in
the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the
foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

Acts 12:1-5 (NKJV)

Now about that time Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church.
Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. And because he saw that it pleased
the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter also. Now it was during the Days of Unleavened
Bread. So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads
of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover. Peter was
therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.

Acts 12:20-23 (NKJV)

Now Herod had been very angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon; but they came to him with
one accord, and having made Blastus the king's personal aide their friend, they asked for
peace, because their country was supplied with food by the king's country. So on a set day
Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat on his throne and gave an oration to them. And the people
kept shouting, "The voice of a god and not of a man!" Then immediately an angel of the Lord
struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and died.

 Prayer Points
Very Important Instruction: Take at least 10 to 15 minutes of deep praise and
worship. May the Holy Ghost release a song in your spirit.

1. O Lord, you used Mary as a vessel to bring salvation through the

birth of your son Jesus Christ, use me in the name of Jesus.

2. O Lord, I present myself as a living sacrifice for the fulfilment of your

prophecies over my ministry and nation in the name of Jesus.

3. O Lord, as we celebrate the birth of the Messiah, let the newness of

life manifest in my life, family and ministry in the name of Jesus.

4. O Lord, let the remembrance of the birth of Jesus bring forth

salvation in my family, ministry and nation in the name of Jesus.

5. O Lord, I hold on to the promises of God over my life and ministry; I

therefore hold on to the horns of the altar in the name of Jesus.

6. O Lord, may I see the manifestation of the son of God in every

situation of my life and ministry in the name of Jesus.

7. O Lord, you are bigger that Herod; I command the Christ in me to

manifest in the time of Herod in the name of Jesus.

8. O Lord, by the power vested in the name of Jesus, I come against

Herod, principalities and powers in the name of Jesus.

9. O Lord, let the Jesus in me outlast every Herod in my family,
generation and ministry in the name of Jesus.

10. O Lord, ancestral powers shall not hinder divine deliverance in my

life, family and ministry in the name of Jesus.

11. Abba Father, I command every Herod, principalities and powers in

my generation to die in the name of Jesus.

12. O Lord, Jesus was born in Bethlehem, which means the house of
bread; I therefore shall not lack bread in the name of Jesus.

13. O Lord, count me among the wisemen that will worship Jesus in this
festive season in the name of Jesus.

14. O Lord, to every fool that says there is no God, arise and showcase
your power in the name of Jesus.

15. O Lord, no matter what, my star will attract wisemen from the East
to bless me with gold, frankincense and myrrh in the name of Jesus.

16. O Lord, no matter what, Herod, principalities and powers shall not
hinder my star from shining in the name of Jesus.

Lord, I thank you for answering my prayers.

I am an overcomer in Jesus’ name!
