MASTER OF DATA-INTENSIVE
COMPUTING
Master of data-intensive computing is a graduate de-
gree program offered by UCW and aims to supporting
the technology sector of BC and Canada by preparing
graduates who will be able to take the technical and
management occupations focused on developing, inno-
vating and protecting data products and services using
advanced technologies based on classic and quantum
computing science.

To reach the program’s aim, students will learn the


necessary skills for the data product/service life cycle
management, advanced data analytics, different levels
of data protection, information security, and quantum
information processing.

Furthermore, students will learn the necessary knowl-


edge regarding the legal, forensics, policy and ethical
aspects of data processing. This program will be deliv-
ered in (hybrid | on campus | online) mode and target
domestic and international students. The program
will offer 70 of credits in 2 years by a dynamic and
experimental learning environment. Students will apply
their knowledge and skills using internship/capstone
project and the lab equipped courses with advanced
tools and tech stack.

Through hands-on projects, practicum, and classroom


instruction, students will develop the necessary com-
petencies to thrive in this growing field. The program
is tailored to keep students up-to-date with the latest
advancements and high-demand areas in technology.
