UNIT – I

UNIT – II

b) Prove that F is closed set if and only if ~ F is open set. 10

OR

d) Prove that i (E) = ~ c (~ E) where i (E) is interior of E and ~ E is complement of E. 10

UNIT – III

3. a) If E is a subset of a subspace (X*, 𝒥*) of a topological space (X, 𝒥) then prove that E is 10
𝒥* connected iff it is 𝒥 connected.

b) If C is connected set & C  E  c(C) then show that E is a connected set. 10

c) Prove that a closed subset of a compact space is compact. 10

d) If F is continuous mapping of (X, T) into (X*, T*) then prove that F maps every 10
connected subset of X onto a connected subset of X*.

4. a) Give an example of a topological space which is T1 and T2 space. 10

c) Prove that an infinite Hausdroff space X contains an infinite sequence of nonempty disjoint 10
open sets.
