The Journal is devoted to the study of regionalisms, including comparative regionalism and issues in European
integration. It embraces theory, empirical work and policy analysis, and is interdisciplinary in ethos. Published
contributions draw predominantly from the disciplines of economics, law and politics, but also draw from
history, sociology and other cognate disciplines. JCMS publishes high-quality, original articles and all
submissions are extensively refereed. Although committed to the highest academic standards, the Journal
also aims to be accessible to policy-makers and practitioners and seeks to encourage informed debate on a
range of European and regional integration issues.
