INTRODUCTION
In this evidence we´ll explore the uses of the past perfect time, as a tool to correctly

express, in the English language, events or memories that can be transformed into

chronicles.

The Harry Potter´s life

Harry Potter had begun his

studies at Hogwarts school

before learning that his parents

were great wizards and leaders.

The life of this wizard boy was

an amazing story, full of

intrigue and struggles within the

school. He hadn´t finished his magic studies when he was already a person famous for his

fight against Lord Voldemort. On one occasion, Harry fought a large basilisk ¡he alone! He

had defeated him before he learned about enchantments. It was incredible. Harry Potter was

11 years old.

When Harry was 14 years old, he had already participated in the Triwizard

Tournament before he was of legal age. At that time, he faced great challenges ad tragedies,

such as the death of his friend Cedric Diggory. At 16 years old, the young wizard had

organized a group of warriors, called the Voldemord´s army, to confront the fearsome Lord

Voldemort before discovering that he had a magical connection with the villain.
 Harry had been a great friend to Ron and Hermione (10 years), even though he

didn´t have the love of home or his parents. The young Potter had made a great choice of

friendship before he could be fully happy. Harry Potter had fought against great wizards

and defended his friends in the Second Wizard Ward, but he didn´t have time to discover

young love. However, when Harry Potter was 19 years old he met the love of his life,

Ginny Weasley, with whom he had a son.
