(Q2) A and B can complete a work in 12 days and 20

days respectively. Both A and B start work together and
after 5 days, B left the work. If the remaining work
complete by A alone, then find time taken by A to
complete the remaining work?
A और B एक कायय को क्रमशः 12 ददन और 20 ददन में परू ा कर सकते
हैं। A और B दोनों एक साथ कायय शरू ु करते हैं और 5 ददनों के बाद, B
ने कायय छोड ददया। यदद शेष कायय A अकेले पूरा करता है , तो शेष कायय

(Q3) The perimeter of a square and a rectangle is equal.

The difference of length and breadth of the rectangle is
equal to side of the square. If the area of square is 64
cm², then find the area of rectangle (Length of the
rectangle > Breadth of the rectangle).
एक वगय और एक आयत का पररमाप बराबर है । आयत की
लंबाई और चौडाई का अंतर वगय की भि ु ा के बराबर है । यदद वगय
का क्षेत्रफल 64 सेम़ी² है , तो आयत का क्षेत्रफल ज्ञात कीजिए
(आयत की लंबाई > आयत की चौडाई)।

(Q4) Train A running at speed of 180 km/ hr in same
direction of train B and crosses it in 18 second. The length of
train B is 50% of length of train A and the speed of train B is
90 km/ hr. Find the length (in meters) of train B?
ट्रे न A, ट्रे न B की समान ददशा में 180 ककम़ी/घंटा की गतत से चलत़ी है
और 18 सेकंड में ट्रे न B को पार कर िात़ी है । ट्रे न B की लंबाई ट्रे न A
की लंबाई का 50% है और ट्रे न B की गतत 90 ककम़ी/घंटा है । ट्रे न B की
लंबाई (म़ीटर में ) ज्ञात कीजिए।
(Q5) If A and B started a business by investing Rs.2500 and

Rs.3500 respectively. After four months B left the business
and rejoins after three more months with 1/5th of his initial
investment. Find the ratio of profit share of A to that of B
after one year?
यदद A और B ने क्रमशः 2500 रुपये और 3500 रुपये का तनवेश करके
एक व्यवसाय शरू ु ककया। चार महीने के बाद B ने व्यवसाय छोड ददया
और त़ीन और महीनों के बाद अपने प्रारं लभक तनवेश के 1/5 भाग के
साथ कफर से िड ु गया। एक वषय के बाद A के लाभ दहस्से का B के
लाभ दहस्से से अनुपात ज्ञात कीजिए।
(Q6) A and B starts a journey from same place. B

reached the destination 20 min before A. If the speed
of B and A is 90 kmph and 80 kmph respectively, then
find the distance cover by them?
A और B एक ही स्थान से यात्रा शुरू करते हैं। B, A से 20
लमनट पहले गंतव्य पर पहुंच गया। यदद B और A की गतत
क्रमशः 90 ककम़ी प्रतत घंटे और 80 ककम़ी प्रतत घंटे है , तो उनके
द्वारा तय की गई दरू ी ज्ञात कीजिए।

(Q7) Rakesh’s monthly income is 2.5 times Gagan’s monthly
income. Gagan’s monthly income is 15% less than Prabhat’s
monthly income. If difference between 20% of Rakesh
monthly income and 5% of Prabhat’s monthly income is
7500Rs. then, find the monthly income of Gagan.
राकेश की मालसक आय गगन की मालसक आय का 2.5 गन ु ा है । गगन
की मालसक आय प्रभात की मालसक आय से 15% कम है । यदद राकेश
की मालसक आय के 20% और प्रभात की मालसक आय के 5% के ब़ीच
अंतर 7500 रुपये है , तो गगन की मालसक आय ज्ञात कीजिए।
(Q8) There are two containers A and B. Container A is empty

while container B is full with a mixture of milk and water in
the ratio 5 : 3. If 50% of mixture of B is poured in container A
then A is 200/7 % filled. Now, If A contains 10 liters milk,
then find the capacity of A.
दो कंटे नर A और B हैं। कंटे नर A खाली है िबकक कंटे नर B 5:3 के
अनुपात में दधू और पाऩी के लमश्ण से भरा हुआ है । यदद B के लमश्ण
का 50% कंटे नर A में डाला िाता है तो A, 200/7% भर िाता है । अब,
यदद A में 10 लीटर दध ू है , तो A की क्षमता ज्ञात कीजिए।
(Q9) To cover a certain distance D in downstream, slower boat

took 50% more time than the faster boat. If speed of slower
boat in still water is 40% less than that of faster boat in still
water, then find the ratio of speed of stream to that of faster
boat in still water.
धारा के अनुकूल एक तनजचचत दरू ी D तय करने में ध़ीम़ी नाव को तेि
नाव की तल ु ना में 50% अधधक समय लगा। यदद शांत पाऩी में ध़ीम़ी
नाव की गतत शांत पाऩी में तेि नाव की गतत से 40% कम है , तो
धारा की गतत का शांत पाऩी में तेि नाव की गतत से अनुपात ज्ञात
कीजिए।

(Q10) A man purchased some pens and four pencils. The ratio
of cost price of each pen to each pencil 5 : 2. If the quantity of
pens and pencils gets interchanged with each other, then the
ratio of earlier bill to the newer bill becomes 19:16. Find
difference between number of quantity of pen and pencil.
एक आदम़ी ने कुछ पेन और चार पें लसलें खरीदीं। प्रत्येक पेन और
प्रत्येक पें लसल के लागत मूल्य का अनुपात 5 : 2 है । यदद पेन और
पें लसल की मात्रा एक दस ू रे के साथ बदल िात़ी है , तो पहले के बबल का
नए बबल से अनुपात 19 : 16 हो िाता है । पेन और पें लसल की मात्रा
के ब़ीच अंतर ज्ञात कीजिए।

(Que) Read the given information carefully and

answers the following questions.
There are three schools A, B and C. The average
number of students in B and C is 360, while the average
number of students in A and C is 305. The average
number of students in A and B is 325. The ratio of boys
to girls in A is 5:4 and in school B total boys are 10%
less than that of girls. The ratio of boys in B to that of
in C is 9:8.
